From Robbo's "tackle" today.
Overlooked for the 2012 draft, the Magpies snared him at No.65 in 2013, and he is one of the recruits of the season. Has played seven games and is averaging 18 touches and seven marks. Go on, name another player who has done that in seven games. Umm, Judd? No. Selwood? No. Ablett? No. Have to love his composure and ability to use the ball off a back-flank. Surely, a Rising Star nomination is his this week.
Impressive start.
Knows he must keep it up as a few ordinary games and there is a few replacements ready to step up.
Great motivation.

Don't think he was comparing how good he is stacked up against those players Dave, just establishing how great a start to his career he has made compared to other players who went on to become champions of the game.Dave The Man wrote:Going Early comparing him to Judd and AblettMJ23 wrote:From Robbo's "tackle" today.

I really like what he did when he first went to Thomas.
Made it clear he was there for footy, the past meant nothing to him and then backed it up with his performance.
I know he didnt spend a lot of time on Thomas however the resulting performances for both after the game given the start said a heap to our whole team.
The last player I remember doing similar was Pendles on Tarrant after he had run through a team mate. no-one else went near him yet Pendles wouldn't let it go. Now he is captain !!

Exactly, just saying some of the games champions weren't as prominent or consistent when they started their careers.Az wrote:Don't think he was comparing how good he is stacked up against those players Dave, just establishing how great a start to his career he has made compared to other players who went on to become champions of the game.Dave The Man wrote:Going Early comparing him to Judd and AblettMJ23 wrote:From Robbo's "tackle" today.

Guess who had a sook about it? Wayne Carey. Reckons it is disrespectful for a young player to go up to an established player like that. What a knob.MJ23 wrote:I really like what he did when he first went to Thomas.!
Anyhow, great work Langdon! Can't believe we got him so cheaply. How does that happen?

Isn't that ironic Carey a man with Joan Collins like modesty.Joel wrote:Guess who had a sook about it? Wayne Carey. Reckons it is disrespectful for a young player to go up to an established player like that. What a knob.MJ23 wrote:I really like what he did when he first went to Thomas.!

Carey had a point at the time, but that point was made redundant by Langdon's performance. A bit like wearing orange or pink boots; you'd wanna get a kick...........Joel wrote:Guess who had a sook about it? Wayne Carey.
