Very proud of our young team, gave it their all, against a very experienced hardnut opponent, we gave it our all. In the end, i reckon the umps got the bastards home, that last decision, that gifted them a goal, was a farking disgrace, softest free seen this season, then the yellow maggots followed it up with more shockers, ruined a great game in the end. Dont ever tell me umps dont decide games, those hometown last qtr decisions cost us big. ! But still proud of the boys, tried their guts out. I also think we need Ben Reid back as soon as possible now too. Disappointed but heads up high.

Very brave performance, considering a lot of our senior players went missing tonight. The kicks out on the full in the last quarter absolutely killed us.I don't know what happened to Cloke tonight. And i just knew White would miss that shot on goal at the end.

Marks from opposition kicks was 12 - 4 Freo's way and then got worse.

Loved the effort, hated the last quarter execution by foot.

Almost there, almost.

Proud of boys tonight...

Great effort tonight and if there was any doubt about team I think we proved we are a bona fide top 4 team.

Apart from some bad decisions from umps we were right in game till end and a big turnaround from thumping they gave us in round 1 last year.

Bring on Hawks ! Think we can beat them this time.

the errors are fixable. high pressure contest will stand us in good stead come finals time whenever that might be. disappointed we couldn't get over the line but pleased with the effort.

Too many on the fulls cost us & letting those assholes get sneaky goals 5secs before the siren.

Should've won it, now we'll see how good we really are when we play the top sides.
Hawthorn will ream us.

Very upset.

Sandilands & their clearances in the second half especially in the last quarter killed us.

Good umpiring tonight

Anyone who blames Cloke knows very little about football.

Levi Greenwood will help us a lot.

Suck it in. Then to regroup for next week

Great experience for the team tonight to play under such intense sustained pressure - especially for the inexperienced players.

Fantastic effort but what a missed opportunity.

Had more than enough opportunities inside f50 but not enough players at the fall of the ball and we lacked a genuine marking threat on a lot of occasions.

The forward line still feels like a work in progress in terms of the mix of talent that suits us best.

Individual inconsistency is the killer for us right now in that area.

Good effort for three quarters but we lost our composure in the last quarter due to fatigue. i also didn't like that we played such a defensive brand of footy because that's exactly what Ross Lyon would've wanted.

Fatigue, poor decision making and some sloppy disposal cost us in the end. Oh and of course the maggot scumpires had to have their say. Fought hard but there's wasn't enough from the whole 22. Really took it to the purple princesses who aren't all they're cracked up to be. We look like we're on the verge of becoming a really good side but geez we have to clean up our act man up, hit targets and use the ball better.

Goldsack had a dirty night, sidey wasn't very effective, elliott was quiet by his standards, cloke tried hard but didn't get the scoring opportunities, White was piss poor but hey what's news.

Varcoe was great, swan and Pendles showed their class, liked what I saw from de goey, fas is getting more involved now, williams, frost, brown and tooves did well as did Witts in the ruck. He tried hard all night.

I think we get caught out of position at times and this was something that was pointed out by the analysts during the break. That's basically how freo got their goals. Even though we lost I still think people will start taking us seriously now.
