I didn't see the whole game (and reading the updates from the game on threads I thought we must have been at least 5 goals down!)... BUT that is the kind of result to be expected from a rising team against a falling team of champions. We'll make mistakes, and we had several poor contributors today, but we'll get better. I doubt that they will. We know what it takes to win these ones now, we're just not mature enough to finish it off, yet. A bit like Hawthorn in the 2011 Prelim against us. We beat them in the game, we just kicked it away.

Keep going Pies, you have to get the next two, and you can;t afford a day off in the weeks ahead. But there seem to be great things ahead for us.

Let's hope so, because if that's how he plays when he's fit now, he's done.

I hate the term 'honourable loss'. Those 4 points should've been ours. There's nothing honourable about missing set shot after set shot. Absolutely nothing. Stick these pricks in front of goal all week and make them practice their kicking for goal.

Had our chances, and was good to see we matched or bettered them physically, but we should have won that game
Cost us that. A bit less fierce and we would have been deep in attack again and possibly a chance of going over 2 goals up.

Worked our guts out and let ourselves down at crucial moments. Keep working on your disposal fellas.

Proud of our lads tonight! They tried hard but are not at Hawthorn standard. Very proud of the after game tribute to Walsh. Clarkson is a very impressive coach and decent person . This is why Hawthorn are so good. We are a great club too, but we seriously need to quickly improve and look to what Hawthorn does as a club and copy it. Well done to both clubs tonight.
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

Moore gave more in 3 quarters than Gault has in his entire career.

My worry is Port next week will come out steaming and if we lose, that'll be 3 in a row and I fear we'll drop our bundle and slide down the ladder.

Another game we could have won except for bad kicking. That's 3 now.Richmond,Fremantle and now Hawthorn.Cloke and White's kicking was disgusting. It's not being unfair to say that they cost us the game tonight.

Surely you jest; toovs was one of our better small defenders.

I thought Marley had a quiet one if anyone
