Hey Guys Melbourne did the job on a few teams this year including the Tigers Cats (at home) They occasionally come and play. Today was one of those! That does not excuse the way we butchered the ball, But they did pressure us all day and made the game areal physical game. I have only seen Pendles beaten a few times and today Vince did the job and was best on ground.

Here, here.......so deflated with Aussie Rules at the highest level now.....Only 37,000 attended today.......Maybe you and I are not alone.Wokko wrote:When my love of the game is at its lowest, this is like coming home to find it in bed with a neighbour.
The Essendon saga..the Goodes booing fiasco....topped off with 6 losses in a row.
The game I love is losing me.

'Side by side' only has meaning in the bad times. This is when the club, the players and the coach need support. We're not Richmond, we don't eat our own.
Sure, that was disappointing, but there have been good signs over this season. Moore will be a beauty, as will De Goey, Adams, Greenwood, Crisp, Frost, Manteit, Abbott, and who knows about Cox.
Time to stick together.

Nicely put inky. That's about how I feel as well. More than anything our whole team looks tired. I'd be tempted to give them a few days off R&R to hopefully freshen them up or we may well not win another game.AN_Inkling wrote:Poor game and now a slightly disappointing season. The signs going forward are still very good, but the inability of the team to deal with the loss of structure without Cloke has been telling.
We were very good against the top teams but were not able to win. Unfortunately, the defensive and scrappy game we needed to play to compete with them seems to have killed all fluency and offense from our game. Losing Cloke and now dropping White has made that even more difficult.
Coming into the season I saw this as a development year, so anything other than total disaster wasn't going to concern me much. What we've seen has been mostly good. The last 2-3 weeks though have not been, and there is some worry that a pattern is emerging after we did the same last year. I feel that pattern is more about youth and injury than anything else. We were quite a bit younger and more inexperienced than the Demons today, I'd imagine. I still feel we're building and that next season we should be able to run out the year more successfully.

You can always tell your mate who you'd stand Side by Side in the trench with that he's being a dick. Collingwood... you're being a dick.Kwah-LeBaire wrote:'Side by side' only has meaning in the bad times. This is when the club, the players and the coach need support. Most of my favourite bands start with "M" - Mars Volta, Mastodon, Megadeth, Metallica, Midnight Oil, Misfits...except King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard ~
