Cheers guys 8)

55 is a bit of a dream really Stui, I can see us; travelling more, helping the kids and enjoying the coin ... which will no doubt stretch that out closer to 60. But that's cool.

The drop in income is a killer. I'm used to having a wallet full of cash and it's great to slip the kids $100 here & there. Sharnee & Trev, with Aria , a new house and another bub on the way could use a little help but on only $85k/yr it's hard.

How is it, here I was worried about getting a new role when I got made redundant & jobs are getting thrown at me.... BOOM!

The mine I'll be based at (Mt Weber) is 90k's north of Marble Bar.

The weather is sensational

So 3 days in and what a change!
This place makes my previous 14 years in FIFO look like holiday camps

Only a small (160 peeps) site, have to work pretty full on, you have to motel (no permanant room), the food is very average, it's *&^*(&%$% hot!, no Foxtel & if there's a bit of cloud around you only get the ABC & SBS (interupted).... I love it! 8)

The roster (12 on / 9 off) is sensational.
Great money (i can spoil my;kids, grandkids & dog)
Top people, which really is very important!

And I'm happy again!

Looking forward to getting over to Melbourne for the Anzac Day game with the family, life's good :D

Think we got 45 degree days for the week ahead... awesome

Well, one more sleep and I'm out of here!... weather permitting, looks like some rain on the way for us here in the Pilbara, roads flood, we don't go anywhere :(

The 40+ temperatures (high humidity too) have been pretty sapping and I can't wait to get on that bird in Headland tomorrow night and get into a nice 9 day break 8)

Dunno how you do it mate. No chance I can work in that kind of heat and humidity, the past couple of days in Melbourne have been bad enough.
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

Some respite today mate, it only got to 28 under a grey sky with a welcome breeze 8)

You just get used to it I guess. It's very unpleasant but you weigh up the pros & cons, ... it's not that bad and the beers taste that little bit better at the end of the day.
I'm lucky in my position, I get frequent relief in my car or an office or wherever I can. The drillers & guys in the pit cop it all day long, they're a special breed!
