You know, I'm kind of happy for there to be less taboo around words. It's kind of absurd that the exact same thing/act/idea can be expressed by synonyms, one of which happens to be 'acceptable' and one of which happens to be 'obscene'. Words can have offensive connotations, but I don't really see how that's the case with the f-word (or the c-word, for that matter).
