well done to the boys.
after 3 games in 11, days travelling north and playing in warm conditions against a club peaking for this game. A lot of mistakes but well done!!!!

Almost an inactive coaching box tonight. No attempt to lock down Zorko or Taylor and while barely 6 footers in Scharenberg & Appleby were being outmarked by McInerney & McStay, the bloke we trained for months of pre season to play in defence sat in our forward line struggling for a kick. Moore simply had to be moved. I can't think of a positional move Buckley made all game.
On field, a gutsy effort to win. In the box, I fear we saw a regression to Buckley of old.

I don't know what that looked like on TV but live at the game we looked spent in the 3rd term. Our usual runners looked leg tired and we never really tried to handball and run at all for the whole game.
There smalls seemed to run in waves forward of the ball all day.
They actually played fairly well considering how shit they've been all season. They played like this was there GF and they had everything at stake.
At the end of the day the class difference showed when it was needed.
Sidey in the last term was important
JDG really stepped up
Cox took a couple really important grabs in the last 10 minutes
Any news on Pendles ?
4 points is 4 and hopefully we can move forward now that's out the way
Well time for me to go enjoy some more of Mr Coopers hospitality (did I tell what good beer they make ?)

My thoughts exactly. The team looked tired tonight, particularly in the last half when skill errors started to creep in. I don't think this is anything to worry about though, it can't have been easy backing up after so many games in quick succession.Mossi wrote: 4 points.

I also don't think there were any problems with selection tonight. I'm surprised to be saying it, but Mayne and Blair both played their role. Moore probably wasn't ready to be playing in the 1's, but we really had no other option with Reid out.
Good effort, all things considered.
