There is no GF curse. Yes we’ve lost a few but we’ve won two in 30 years and that’s two more than many clubs. I’d still rather make it than not.

The best news is that I won’t be attending the GF this year if we make it. My ticket will be going to one of my kids whose never attended a GF.

I was there in 1990 yes, however I also attended in 2002, 2003, 2010 Draw, 2011 and last year. Yes, you guessed it, I didn’t go to the replay in 2010.
I did the 2010 draw, like you didn't go to the replay, then went to 2011.

I'm not even going in the ballot, I'll be watching at home where I watched us win 1990 and 2010
If me and Stui are staying home it’s in the bag.

Thought I was going to be able to make it home for the Grand Final, but no dice; if all goes according to plan, I'll be back in Melbourne the week after.

If we make it to the Grand Final, I'll likely be watching this year's big dance where I watched the 2010 draw and replay: at a pub in Midtown New York.

Did someone actually spend their time looking for such a coincidence? Surely it's not something that just appeared through casual observation?

Hate to debunk the theory but we won the 1902 and 1903 premierships. Don't recall that happening in 2002 and 2003.

An omen for the Prelim.

Richmond have now won 11 games in a row.

Last time they did that was 1980.

They played in a Grand Final that year too. Their opponent? Collingwood.

^ Your omen ends at the prelim?

i have two omens that i now live by.

1. First, I never book flights to Australia (from USA) until we actually win the preliminary final. Got me through 2010, 2011 and 2018.

2. I will never again agree to be interviewed for Channel 7 news while in Australia. I was anonymous in 2010 and we won. I was interviewed in 2011 (we lost) and not only was i interviewed, i was featured on channel 7 news in 2018 (we lost).

So if we win today, i'll book my flights to the game, but if i see a cameraman, i am going to run for my life!!!!!

Geelong haven't lost a final when leading by more than 20 points at half time since the 1930 Grand Final!!!! We won the grand final that year!!!!

Could be a bad omen, I've got my jackets hanging on hooks around my room, the Collingwood jacket and hook fell off the wall this morning...
