Guaranteed Pies 2024 fixture will be hardest in history…will defs play all the top performing teams twice and those on the decline only once…
AFL will screw us over and include multiple away games and non-advantageous home games last third of the season…
will probs also have to play Panthers twice, Lakers twice, Man City twice, All Blacks twice (both times over there at Eden Park), Novak Djokovic twice, Mike Tyson twice, Max Verstappen twice, and India in India on a slow dry turner twice!

Wouldn't bugEyes McLaughlin just love to make that happen!

Apparently we are opening the season on a Saturday night against the Giants up in Sydney and Melbourne playing Swans nxt day @ SCG

Rest of the teams will open their accounts the following week while we have a bye!

I've still got money on my travel vouchers from Covid years (Was originally going to Brissy). I've used them to go to Adelaide and Sydney in 2022 and still have almost $400 left. I've got to use it by Dec 31, and will be looking the second the fixture is out. My Mrs is due to give birth in March, so I better be careful.

Apparently there's a Round 0 next year , which will be GWS away if the rumours are true.

Also rumoured to play Sydney in our first home game in Round 1, which is when the flag will be unfurled. I wish it was against Carlton

First 3 games look to be:

Round 0 vs GWS (away in Sydney)
Round 1 vs Sydney (MCG)
Round 2 vs St Kilda (MCG as an away game)

I think Round 3 will be against Brisbane at the Gabba coinciding with the Easter Weekend.

Then Round 4 will be against Adelaide in South Australia for Gather Round.

3 of our first 5 games will be interstate.

R0 is simply confusing.
Playing an interstate side R1 will at least offer the chance for more Pies supporters to get into the ground to see the 2023 Premiership flag unfurled.
While my last was R3 1991 at Vic Park, I hope to be at the MCG for the occasion, it's a special moment.
