Won our 3rd game of the season. 11 to go.

Fly once again made reference to needing 14 wins to qualify for the finals in his post-match presser.

Just 2 teams in the AFL have won their last 3 games. Collingwood is one of them. Two of the three teams Collingwood has beaten in that run finished top-4 after the Home and Away games last year and one of them was last year's losing Grand Finalist.

Short week. On a high. Be great to go 4-3 and only need 10more this time next week. We had a tough draw last year. 2024 is no different. It’s all about how we play and destiny is in our hands.

Listening to Fly’s 14win rhetoric again I get the fervour that comes with that but still want to see us build some resilience with our next 5 or 6 players, need to rotate them in to give a taste and see how they perform.

Watching the power demolition again, we had no holes in our team and everyone performed except for goal kicking accuracy early in the last quarter. But it’s exciting to think McStay could come back into this team late in the year when we’ve made the 14wins. Could be anything but dangerous yet.
Ed Allen kicked our last goal of the year at the 58minute mark

In 2022, we had 4 wins and 5 losses after 9 games.

Fly has said on numerous occasions over the years it's all about qualifying first and doing it as quickly as possible before worrying about top 4 or 2.

% will be largely irrelevant off the back of today's draw.

Thank f**k cos we don’t have the weapons up forward to grow our percentage. Draw as good as a win today.

I also think it’s fair to say that we only need 13.5 wins to qualify now. More than enough.

Or another team around the same ladder position draws.

There'll prolly be another draw this year... but prolly not between teams directly competing with us for ladder position.

Not that good. But closer to a win than to a loss. For clubs with 120+%, it'd be the other way round.

Yeah, Footy Classified said top 4 av. max. number of losses is 7.04. So we can only have another 3, maybe 4, losses for the rest of H&A.

Funnily we might be competing with Essendon for one of the bottom 2 spots in the 8 and they have a similar % to us.

Collingwood is now the only undefeated team in the competition over the last 5 games - and just 2.5 wins behind top spot.

I’d be surprised tbh. Barely got over West Coast last night and have been pretty average generally.
