Are you serious 1eyedpie?

The only WB fans I saw was the small batch of supporters at the Lockett end of the ground, oh wait that was their cheer squad.

How could they think it was their home game, all lies.

Maybe they should've left those banners on there, we could've burnt them.

I have to agree with this. I counted 4 times yesterday where he was caught completely out of position. I really like Maxy, but that is something he is going to have to improve quickly.
When he got out marked in the 3rd quarter it was "right in front of me, right in front of me!"

What was more embarassing was Maxwells reaction when he was beaten for those marks, he walked off and Shaw had to stand the mark, then he went over to Harry and Toovey and had a go at them!. They were on their men?

I love his endeavour, but when he has to be accountable on a player he needs to stand up. Anyone can play "loose" across half back flank.

I think Maxy has been generally out of form a little bit. Even his kicking is not what it was last year. But we ain't gunna drop him. He still provides plenty of value.

Considering Heater isn't playing as well as we know he can, there is still plenty of upside in our team and pleanty to work on in the remaining 11 games.

The banners were high up in the rafters! Fox showed vision of what looked like Pie officals taking them down (pulling them up in their case)

Can anyone who was at the ground early verify this and how many banners were draped around the ground?

I noticed that, and didn't think it was great form. It's as if that because he is always 3rd man up in a contest, he is not happy when someone doesn't do it for him.

There were defintely WB banners at the Lockett end at the start of the game. There were about 6 of them.

I took some pics and just noticed that they were there before the game, but not afterwards. The pics aren't great (taken on Iphone) but if i remember I will upload them later.

I didn't seen them get taken down.

Here are the pics....you can just make out the banners in the first one, but they are not there later.

Sorry, the pics are sideways. Haven't got time to edit. Click on the thumbnails for bigger pics.

Thanks for uploading those pics Joel, I don't recall seeing them, but I did get to the ground around 4:00 though, so they might've been down by then.

Ah yes the banners.

Who the hell do the bulldogs think they are, it was our home game.

I was in the ground by around 3:15 and much to my amazement I saw about 6-8 of them hanging from the rafters down the Lockett end.

Some of there favourite sons like Ted Whitten adorned them.

Can't remember the exact time but they were removed well before gametime.

The Doggies were absolutely desperate for the 4points and it showed. That loss has hurt them. We held them off in that last Q, didn't panic. Way too close for comfort, but hey, we don't go to the footy to be bored do we!

Tommo is playing harder at the footy, and Heater was getting back some good touch. I was at the Frankston match a couple of weeks ago, and thought then that Leroy was busting out of himself, true, he looks downright scary!

Our form's a bit off, and we've gotta watch that. That was a win we squeezed out of ourselves, thankfully the 4points are ours.

It's the Tiara Cup next week folks, let's hope we don't get out-sparkled.

I'm hoping the team is in hard training to get them ready for the end of the season. Hopefully they will taper off later and be fresher then when it counts. In each of pies losses it has been more due to inability to capatalise on chances, rather than poor play. On what I've seen there is capacity to beat any of the teams they lost to IF they take the chances. Need to sort out the goal kciking once in the forward 50.

No, I didn't feel that happy at the end of the game. I was dissapointed we didn't go on with it after the great performance early in the game.

A win is a win, but we outclassed them for the majority of the match (despite the umpiring from 'Venus' Chamberlain), and it really should have been a blow out.

Oh well, hopefully we'll learn something from it.
No I certainly don't think you're the only one, I reckon the players themselves were pretty shitty with themselves, judging by expressions in the circle when they were singing the song. They knew they were lucky to win that one. But the fact that we lost the lead we had wasn't totally due to a fourth quarter fade-out. It also had a hell of a lot to do with some very dodgy umpiring decisions. I'm so sick of Collingwood having to play the opposition AND the umpires.

Agree but I class the Umpires as opposition

Which under a zoning system could very well be a coaching directive.
