I still believe Trav will stay.
Probably stupid on my part, but hey, what can you do?
If he does go, let him go anywhere but the Scum.

I wonder though if the AFL players assoc have got this a little wrong. If Cloke leaves then he will be booed i'm sure but I think what we're hearing a the moment is more frustration than anger. Frustration with both his performance and the situation that it leaves the team in. I wonder though how else we're meant to feel? This issue comes up, Cloke's form and the rest of the team falls. Surely fans are allowed some level of emotion?? Simon Buckley gets the same thing, Dawes gets worse (at this stage) are the players association going to publicly back them as well. Maybe they're protective Trav because the free agency they fought for is already doing massive damage to the game just as Ed said it would??
Not if Cloke is getting threats etc on twitter.GlovemanGayfer wrote:I wonder though if the AFL players assoc have got this a little wrong. This is just fanning media driven hysteria.

Matt Finnis, where was the AFL Players Association when your member Travis Cloke was being badly advised and making stupid demands at the expense of his fellow players, demands which could only wind up wrecking his reputation, messing up his on-field performance, and ultimately making him worth less on the open market?
You weren't there then when you were needed, so now you are not wanted and you can can just farrk off.

1st the clokes, taking it to the media and then Travis appearing on the Footy Show.
Then the Pies call a halt to negotiations...supposedly so he can concentrate on footy. What a load of s$#$T! All this does is open the flood gates up for other clubs to throw offers at him - hardly the sort of thing one would think that enables him to concentrate on his job.
What to do, what to do? Should I stay or should I go? How much money here? How much money there?
As for the supporters being angry about the whole thing.. damn straight we are angry! Not over a signed or un-signed contract for next year but because we are still in the running for a tilt at this years flag and our supposed #1 power forward is yet to show any fire in his belly whatsoever whilst this whole caper is unfolding.
Fire up Travis! Start kicking some goals, start winning some games and most of all, stop at nothing to win a flag this year.
What he does after that I really don't care, the Pies will continue on strong with or without him. Like any job, he is replaceable.
i think the situation would be better to, if he wasnt walking around with a permanent "attitude problem" expression.
smile Trav, youve got people fighting over you!!
sure beats everyone trying to get rid of you or calling you a spud.
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

IF this were the case, Trav wont be playing this week-end or for collingwood ever again.
Does Buckley strike anyone as weak enough to actually let something like this go on as senior coach ?
Not a chance - absolute crap

How many of those are from "real" supporters though. The thing about twitter and all social media is that it gives lounge chair heros a chance to attack others. What's to stop another group of supporters jumping online and parading as pies fans? If twitter is what they are concerned about then they need to suggest that players ignore it or get off it.Brenny wrote:Threats on Twitter are over the top and not on.
In my opinion, those alone, could potentially drive Cloke from the club.

What ever the rumours i would have thought that with all the so called rumours over the past few weeks that every one including the CFC has had enough .
So only now judge him on form and if no form back to VFL .
All that matters is winning and getting into top four .
David Cloke would be enjoying what his sons contract discussions are doing to CFC and its loyal supporters .He is sitting in his chair with a big smile on his face
Please NICKS is it possible to stop all discussions re CLOKE as the CFC has done . I ask you to delete all discussions unless it has to do with the form of TRAVIS CLOKE

Yeah, probably be as hated as Nick Davis was, I am sure he regretted that decision every dayswoop42 wrote:I hope that Travis re-signs and I wont be "booing" him while he's still in Collingwood colours.
However if he lines up for another team next year then I don't think the AFL will have seen anything like the wrath Collingwood supporters will impose on him.
Should be fun.
