I got no problem with that, what else could they do.. but it just doesn't achieve the objective of hosing it down or putting the race for the flag back on track.. it's the only option but it's a wet lettuce leafsem wrote:With respect Cloking Device if " Team Cloke " walk away from discussions and make themselves unavailable then CFC had no choice .
Remember the team is bigger than the individual
We will feast on their bones
Where is Cloke in all this?
Put him up at our next press conference and let him sweat it out a little i recon..... he's part of the leadership group, after all? right?
Where ya hiding Travy boy? under someones beak?
Looking forward to 6.20pm tonight.... hopefully he's dropped... his form has been sub par for a 'million' dollar player.

Hit the nail on the head. The guy is hiding, he is vice-captain, put him in the media and let's hear see how he handles it.burnsy17 wrote:Where is Cloke in all this?

Doubt very much if this is true.
Were it true, I'd see little alternative to dropping Travis given his current form. That may sound radical but there is nothing to gain if a player is on the field and not talking with the coach.
Sure Bux is far too mature and professional for such a situation to develop, (he is 40 after all hee hee).

true, but seriously, with all the shit that has happened this year with twitter, why are high profile people on it? or anyone for that matter.Brenny wrote:Threats on Twitter are over the top and not on.
In my opinion, those alone, could potentially drive Cloke from the club.
a certain greek lady sure wishes she had never heard of it today!!
if you write it its out there people, there is no such thing as DELETE!!
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

Mick, it was the number 33 that had us calling him Chad Liddel from that first NAB Cup game!!!!CAAS wrote:Paine reminds me of chad liddell so I will see how he goes in 2yrs time. We have had some promising big men who have departed the club with little impact. Cloke is gone but who knows, he may just surprise us all and stay. Highly doubtful I know. If he doesn't perform then he needs to be dropped.
(funnily enough, David's Cloke's number at the Pies also.......)

Dude, that was a line trotted out to stop him being charged with draft tampering.swoop42 wrote:Nathan Buckley wasn't playing for the biggest club in the land.nulla wrote:Did Nathan Buckley come to Collingwood for nothing?
He was playing for an expansion team who at the time was a rabble.
He left after one season not after 7 years of time, effort and money had been spent developing him.
He left in the hope of premiership success not money.
He was a Collingwood player before being drafted by Brisbane, and as someone else stated earlier, the Bears took him anyway in the hope of convincing him to stay at the end of that 1 year.
LOL - Troy Lehman and an over-the-hill Craig Starcevich!!

Well said.woftam wrote:I don't see why the hate to be honest. Bagging our own (he is still our own until seasons end) is a bad look. What will it achieve? It may make him play worse not better. Is that going to help us for the rest of the year? No it isn't.
