Oi! I supported you more times than Judas!

The overwhelming consensus here apart from the mindless nagging patience brigade is that:
we were the better side
we got raped up the back
we didn't put them away

Ill add that it didn't appear to hurt.
Its all a little disturbing and smacks of repetitiveness.

Sorry mods and Nicksters clearly a little connectivity problem

It's laughable spitting chips at the coach, the game plan, the recruiting on that performance.
Inaccuracy in front of goal is the only reason we didn't win that game.

De Goey and Moore are going to be deadset stars. Top 1% in the comp type stars.
Well said. Some early observations...

Moore clearly his best game to date, same with Marsh, and a promising return from De Goey.

Grundy worked his way into the game but again made some bad blues. Running under the footy to cover Pyke allowing Reid an uncontested mark 20m out for instance. And the number of time he got so out positioned in the ruck contests that he didn't even commit.

Williams had a shaky start but improved as the game went on.

Swan just keeps getting better. Sidey had his best game for quite a few weeks.

Cloke faded but will be better for the run. Reid couldn't get into the game but will be better again for another run. Elliott his best game for some time, goal kicking aside.

Brown will likely miss games and so nice of Ch7 to do their utmost to crucify him.

Adams, Varcoe, Langdon and Crisp all good.

Greenwood battled hard but didn't impact to much.

Overall, a pretty poor game to watch and mistake ridden but you can see the cohesion building. Bring on the Tigers.

Hoping Reid isn't injured and was just managed.

Season over, we'll all but anyway, we'll need to win our next 3 and rely on results, the crows and the cats sharing those points could end up costing us a finals birth.

At least we should be able to field a very strong VFL side for the finals, Moore-white-Reid-witts-Sinclair-Fasolo-Blair-Marsh-Berg-De Goey-Greenwood-Maynard, 12 listed boys I can count eligible for VFL finals, could even snag the flag.
Defender...........

On the day before the first, Daicos created God.

We lost this game for 2 simple reasons.

1. We missed far too many set shots at goal.

2. We got well beaten in centre clearances, where the Swans got 4 goals to our one.

How do we overcome these deficiencies?

1. Composure in front of goal will mainly come from confidence and more experience. Obviously we need to keep working on this skill set, but I'm confident we'll see this area of our game improve next season.

2. We need an injection of real class in the midfield. Presently we are too reliant on Swanny and Pendles to win games for us. The recruitment of Treloar and/or Aish should solve this problem. It may end the futures of Greenwood and Blair, who are both battlers, but not A grade. We must raise the bar of what we require of our mids.

So overall, our deficiencies are obvious and the solutions are eminently doable. Given how well we've performed against the top sides this year, and the fact that we have a host of really good defenders developing on our list in Maynard, Oxley, Frost, Williams, Langdon, Ramsay, Marsh and Scharenberg, added to the exciting forwards of Moore and Reid who will both be much better next year, I'm extremely confident we'll have a very good season in 2016 and will push for a top 4 spot.
