Here's the letter, https://www.smh.com.au/interactive/hub/ ... FINAL].pdf

Similar to what I said earlier, they expect a pandemic declaration to be made immediately the legislation is enacted and to be in force for the forseeable future.

Scary stuff.

This part might specifically interest some.

So the legislation allows them to legally target any of those groups.
The 'Dear Leader' is one step closer to his dream of being a dictator.

If Peter Dutton did any of this, the left would be screaming from the rooftops.

There's a whole bunch of QC's signed that. What are you implying?

And any particular reason why my Freedom day thread was merged? I thought it was sufficiently different to warrant a separate thread.

Yeah I don't know whether to stay home tomorrow or head out and see how many Melburnians have escaped into our great town.

Not sure what actually changes from us on this 'Freedom Day', can legally ditch the mask I rarely wore and cricket can start up but won't for a few weeks.

Well, what changes is that it should be a lot easier to get COVID from now, if you make an effort.

Totally agree DTM. I couldn’t think of anything worse than going bloody shopping with a multitude of people hanging around either unvaccinated or being a carrier. Bugger shopping for my death. My basic needs are met at the moment, so don’t need shopping therapy at my detriment. Happy to be patient and enjoy what I have instead of wanting more, more, more and spending my hard earned like a drunken sailor
