Where did Mayne get under-achieved for a number of years? Thanks for telling me your opinion.

Great interview with Chris Mayne from a few years ago talking about the early challenges in his life.

I'm not sold on Mayne but concede the club is a million times better positioned than me to make these judgements. If he comes to us, I hope he rips it up. I just can't recall prior to a game against Freo contemplating "Gees I hope Mayne doesn't have a ripper, who have we got to stop him?"

Chris Mayne's manager has given a strong indication the versitile goal
kicker will join Collingwoods forward line next season

Mayne's agent Colin Young yesterday suggested the Pies would be the right
fit if they could agree to terms for the 27yr old

No doubt Chris will be playing in Melbourne next year --its come down to
fine tuning a couple of things with a couple of clubs Young said

Collingwood is a great club and I would love to see him there

Hopefully in the next 10 days they will decide to take him

Overheard one of the sports reports over here in the west. (Yes I Know, credibility zero). I think it was Thompson off Ch9.
Anyhoo, they mentioned that Mayne def heading east to either Collingwood or North??

Like I said, only over heard and credibility zip, jack nada, squat, sweet FA.

On the plus side I think many decent footballers are stymied by the system of Ross the Boss, but whether that has been the case only time will tell.

A lot of sucking up here, I don't mind Mayne but I hope we are offering 3 years with an option for a 4th.

Sure does.

After watching it I know he will definitely not go to the dawks - far too nice a bloke for them.

We seem to be becoming a team of HBF's and HFF's... with a smattering of mids thrown in....

HBF's - Maynard, Sinclair, Ramsay, Williams, Langdon, Phillips, Howe, Goldsack, Sharenberg, Smith

HFF's - Blair, Crocker, Fasolo, Elliott, Varcoe, Thomas, De Goey, Aish... Mayne?

......

KPF's - Moore, Cox, White, Gault

KPB's - Reid, Keefe... Brown and Frost potentially looking for trades??

Our list is out of balance and in dire need of quality talls... Both current and up and coming.

Cloke, Brown, Frost, Gault and Witts were all disappointing last season, which leaves us a bit in no man's land. Hine has pulled off some good draft pickups in the past, but his recent performance has been sub-standard, in failing to land Lever or Wright, and Cripps... and thus, leaving some gaping holes in our list profile. If we don't rectify this in the trade and draft periods, there will be no finals next season, or the one after.

^^Ok, Let's do the Hawks:

KPF: Roughead
KBP: Frawley

The game is changing. Talls aren't as important as they used to be. We can make finals without any change to our KPP stocks. I expect we will add one somehow, certainly if either Frost or Brown are let go, but there's no desperate need.

If Mitch Brown is coming I don't think we will lose Nate.
