Cutting staff and budgets aren't good, neither is micromanaging to statistics which in turn drives behaviour that actually has just as bad if not worse effect.

So how do we get Steve Bracks to run for PM? He seems like such a decent bloke. Much better then sour Kennett, who was bitter & twisted before the counting even started.
On a human note, John Pesutto has conducted himself admirably on the ABC panel, despite having to watch as he is voted out of office, which must be reasonably excruciating. He looks like a future Liberal leader to me (provided he wants to wait 4 years to get Hawthorn back).
Brighton: Liberal candidate in this bastion of conservative politics defeated by a 19-year-old schoolboy who wasn't even a member of the party until two months ago.
This is like seeing Roger Federer losing 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 to your granny.

Add Caulfield to that list of conservative seats lost. Caulfeild used to be 14% safe Liberal. 4 years ago was down to 5. something %. I am shocked to see that result.
John Proscuito acted with grace throughout. Well done him as opposed to the f*cker of a shadow treasurer Michael O'Brien on Channel 9. Once a p*ick always a p*ick.

They just interviewed him on 7. Even JFK wished him well and said he was a nice kid.
He said he basically stepped up cos no one else wanted to.

My seat. Pleased to see him beat that square-jawed empty suit.
