Just watched a Blu Ray disc of "Wall E" with my family. In fact just connected the Blu ray up despite having purchased it a while ago. Thoroughly enjoyable Pixar animation for adults. Pixar are amazing.
I'm really blown away by the quality of picture & sound of the blu ray. But the discs are ridiculously expensive.

Went and saw Kick Ass.
Great movie, it is violent but no more than any Arnie movie or Rambo movie.
Personally I thought it was as much a drama as black comedy with a number of moral judgement moments left open during the movie seemingly so that the viewing public can form their own opinion, rather than have the creators force theirs upon you.
I loved it.

Finally got around to seeing Godard's Bande A Part last night. Never been a huge fan of Jean-Luc, but even I have to admit that it was a lot of fun.

Saw Iron Man 2 and The Book of Eli over the last few weeks.
Iron Man 2 was very enjoyable. While the story line isn't quite as tight as the first Iron Man it's still fluent enough to keep you engaged through most of the movie. There is at least one point in the movie you'll wish you could fast forward through but at the end of the day it's all about the special effects and fight scenes, which are spectacular.
The Book of Eli starts well, if a little confusingly, but as it progresses it can get a little silly. If you watch the movie carefully you'll be able to pick up on a few things that give away the ending, which is a bit of a twist but not the mind blowing one they seemed to be going for. Some of the acting is average which is a disappointment when you look at the quality of the cast line up, but all-in-all you'd likely be satisfied if you wait and watch it as a $5 rental rather than pay to see the $17

Young Tom Edison, with Micky Rooney playing the young Thomas Edison.

Edison - the Man, with Spencer Tracey.
Had never seen the first one and just loved it.
I expected to see a sort of Andy Hardy character but no, he played young Tom brilliantly - pun intended.
