The only way the CCP have legitimacy in the eyes of their citizens is having a strong economy, which is now struggling and was struggling before the virus emerged.

I was pleased to read that Australia and India have strengthened their military ties the other day. Having closer relations with India can only be a positive thing, especially with Australia-China relations becoming strained.

They've been trading with the western world for centuries if not milennia, they have the worlds second largest economy, spend billions of dollars in genuine developing countries with "debt trap diplomacy" to tie up strategic control of assets and nations, yet apparently they are a "developing nation."
