Ahaha that is a big ask mate, Buckley is about the best kick you will ever see in terms of passing the football - if Pendels is half as good I will be happy with him.couragous cloke wrote:Ive heard a lot of things about this kid, esspecially his kicking... But is it as good as Buckley's in his younger days? If so, then ill be mightly excited.

I have been saying for weeks we need an injection of pure class, whether his a 250 games or 0 gamer i think we need him in the side for us to be a show to hold up the holy grail....burnsy17 wrote:Johnson#26 wrote:I'm hoping he'll get a run in the seniors in the near future, perhaps in a week or two - but finding an opening will prove difficult.
Keep it up, Pendles!:)
I can think of someone he can replace who has aweful foot skills....
I know its a big statement for a kid but he will put in what we've needed for the last couple of years... great foot skills and class...

In the two games I"ve gone to watch Williamstown play I've never been so immediately struck by a player. Class is a word that aptly describes.
Now what we don't want to do is put to much pressure on the kid, now on saying that he should win a brownlow in the next 3 years. Too much to ask???
But seriously just the ability to make space when there is none is incredibly valuable but as someone said earlier there is no real need to rush him at this stage, if he continues to impress and can't be ignored for a senior spot then give him a game and let him loose but we don't want to put him up just for the sake of it, though I feel he wouldn't have any troubles immediately settling in to senior footy.

Oh, the irony!PraiseMillane wrote:yeh i was watching the OX when he gave his 5 cents bout pendles, but i take no real comfort in a drunk like him giving out player references.
i want some clear cut evidence that this kids gunna be a champ!! and unfortuantely that wont happen till he gets a go in the seniors. hopefully mid season?

I am not going to tell you he doesn't have obvious ability and class because he does , but the ridiculous hype that has been generated in this thread is unfair on the kid.
