Yeah, i see where you're coming from. Nothing new to see here, just history repeating with new agendas.

Are you saying that if Dalaiadakis had lost his member, he'd have been fine?

It sounds so anachronistic in 2018 to ask questions like: I hope they have the ability to do their job as though men automatically have the ability to do their jobs...
This is absolutely correct.
However, when you implement quotas such questions are always going to be asked.
Say a primary school is hiring 4 teachers and they get 200 female and 6 male applicants. If the principal hires 2 women and 2 men, people are naturally going to ask if those men were really amongst the best applicants.

^ They would be among the bravest. Or the stupidest. You'd have to be fair-dinkum suicidally brave to be male and take a job working with children. Just asking for trouble. Sooner or later, some bastard will accuse you of something and .... that's it chum. No trial, no evidence needed, one single accusation and your entire life is ruined. Safer to work on a fishing trawler or down a mine, or as a human target for live fire training.

Victoria state election result: Labor takes back Northcote from the Greens

I am loving these Victories more than knocking off the LNP.
On the other hand, the Electoral Commission is now reporting the Greens as being ahead in Brunswick on the two-party preferred voting: https://www.vec.vic.gov.au/Results/Stat ... trict.html

Strewth! Rippon takes in some of the most conservative redneck country in Victoria. It ought to be the safest of safe LNP seats, and they are going to keep it, but by less than a single percentage point. And we are talking serious redneck country.
