Yes, agree. We need to keep this all in proportion.
We need to beware of this affecting our mental preparation as well.
You can only keep your eyes on the prize if they have not been gouged out.
Luckily, no one in our team has had his eyes gouged. And no one will, due to Green's suspension.

Williams played many seasons for the swans, this is truly nothing. :o

From the GWS website:

GIANTS to Appeal Greene Suspension
Sep 17, 2019 8:17PM

The GIANTS will appeal Toby Greene’s one-match suspension, which was upheld at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.

Greene was charged by the Match Review Officer with making unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the eye region of Brisbane’s Lachie Neale following an incident in the second quarter of Saturday’s Semi-Final win.

The AFL Tribunal was held in Melbourne on Tuesday night with Greene appearing in person and pleading not guilty to the charge.

The GIANTS will lodge paperwork to appeal the decision by the deadline of 12pm tomorrow.

The GIANTS take on Collingwood in a Preliminary Final at the MCG on Saturday evening.

Glad someone mentioned this. Right now, it's as if we need to select two teams - one with Toby playing and one with him not there. As if it's not complicated enough choosing the replacements for JDG and Levi
I imagine all the coaches are trying to drum into the players, "Forget the outside noise, focus on us".

Interesting that GWS are going to appeal... this vision is pretty damning imo:

I don't think anyone at the club gives a shit about Toby Greene, to be honest. The media and "AFL greats" seem to think it's the worst miscarriage of justice since OJ Simpson. Can you imagine if Toby Greene was a Collingwood player?

The Greater waste of space flogs must be really, really shit scared of playing us If they r going to appeal that, this is so distracting for him and his dumb ass team, just now a total distraction for them, They cant handle the MCG, we all know it, that's what they should be concentrating on now, hope we belt the living shit outa them no matter what. !!

There can be no defending what he did, it's clear as day in this gif:

That is the most damning visible evidence i have seen: tugs Neal's hair and scrapes his fingers across the face, including the eyes. Thanks for posting this.

Thought he was safe before that last close up footage which shows him raking at Neales eye. It's pretty damning evidence and impossible to defend imo. Appeal all they like, I can't see them arguing their way out of that one.

That footage can be used as evidence right?

It's horrifying video.

Funny thing is... read the comments below it.
People still supporting Toby.

Yeah, I read some of those comments. Moronic would be kind. One says: "Since Green's actions last week were way worse, he should escape any ban for this" (!!!)
