Well done to him and the team of medical, and other supporting players. Well done.
Other than the NT, QLD, SA and WA who all had delta outbreaks and stopped them dead, a lot quicker than Victoria as well who was already in lockdown when it was discovered. Still took them more than a week to actually find out where it came from.
I'm sure we all remember those first few days, your great team said "We've had no cases of Delta in hotel quarantine in Victoria so it can't have come from us" untill a week later they crawl back with their tail between their legs and then went full on attack mode to deflect, deflect, deflect.

And the reason we were in lockdown was because, for the 4th time in 4 attempts, the Victorian government failed to be able to contain an outbreak without having to resort to a state wide lockdown. This time it was the Kappa strain.
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
Up on the border, the sudden closure has confused the locals and the cops.
In NSW you can store your various licenses in your Service NSW app, the digital licence is legal for all purposes. Victorian cops though have never seen these before so when people crossing into Vic for work are stopped and asked for ID, the Vic Police aren't accepting the Digital licences and are turning people around.
Some people don't carry a wallet or purse anymore, just a phone.

And in news that will no doubt send some off again,
The Victorian government has revealed a person from Sydney with COVID-19 travelled to Victoria and South Australia while infectious last week.
The person, who works as a removalist and was working during the trip, stayed overnight in Victoria on July 8, before travelling to South Australia on July 9, and then returned to Sydney.
The man was tested on July 10 and returned the positive result yesterday.
I only escaped from Canberra in the nick of time last night before it became a red zone and travel back to Victoria was banned (with a mandatory two-week quarantine for returning residents). Still had to queue up for over an hour for a COVID test this morning, and, particularly absurdly, had to hire a car to do it as no clinics were accepting walk-ins for visitors to the ACT or New South Wales; you apparently have to go through a drive-in. Not sure what you’re supposed to do if you can’t drive!
It’s a bizarre situation because the ACT has not had a single case over this entire Sydney outbreak, and actually relaxed its COVID restrictions in the short time I was there (masks were no longer required indoors as of Saturday). So it’s evident that Canberra is still being treated by the states as some kind of NSW satellite when in reality it’s as far away from Sydney as Albury is from Melbourne. Particularly odd when it’s possible to travel to and from there without setting foot in New South Wales.

Wouldn't have made any difference, moving is still permitted and Victorians are still free to travel to NSW, they just have to self isolate on return for 14 days instead of just getting a negative test.

How do you think the people on the border region feel?
Tocumwal >600km from Sydney (>250km from Melbourne)
Albury >500km from Sydney (>300km from Melbourne)
OK so Mildura is on the Victorian side of the border but has had to cop grief from both sides when they're no where near the action
Mildura >950km from Sydney (>500km from Melbourne)
Paris is closer to London than any of these places are to Sydney
