The NSW Health site has more detail about the isolation status of the new cases, as follows:
60 cases were in isolation throughout their infectious period and seven cases were in isolation for part of their infectious period. 24 cases were infectious in the community, and the isolation status of six cases remain under investigation
.

https://twitter.com/NSWHealth

So, the actual information is a bit different from the Government's media statement - it would probably be more accurate to say that "At least 31 and up to 37 of the 97 new cases were infectious in the community for part or all of their infectious period".

The Government says that "The new locally-acquired case is a known Primary Close Contact in isolation during their infectious period."
Now 7 New Cases. Shows the Borders need to be Closed and No One Allowed IN and out of NSW.

With what Happening in NSW Victoria could be in Lockdown in next few days
Plainly, they need to rethink their rules - the transmission chain from the removalists shows that Delta spreads remarkably quickly compared with other variants of the disease. It is plainly stupid that having 2 guys come through Victoria in a truck could lead to a need for such widespread remedial action.

Unfortunately people can't be trusted to do the right thing.

They also make it difficult for contract tracers (no matter which state) by not supplying information or lying about their movements.

Any clear information on how long after exposure to the Delta strain can you become infectious? The standard strain was around 3 days IIRC

The bloke who caught it from the removalists at the apartment building was exposed around midday on 8 July.

He was then around Highpoint late morning to mid afternoon on the 9th. 23-27 hours after exposure.

Then went to the Footy Saturday (10th) night, sitting outside in level 2 of the MCC Members. That's around 54 hours post exposure.

Dan will lock down the entire covid free areas of the state before he imposes a local lockdown in ALP heartland.

Actually the US are in town, can we get them to just carpet bomb the City of Hume? Will save the state from future lockdowns as well
