Best if the committee members have a box outside the meeting room to empty their egos into before each meeting. Concentrate on doing the required administrative work and leave footy duties to the football coaches and staff. Play second fiddle in the background. They will be appreciated and respected if they do this. Let the accolades for success be shared evenly, without hogging the limelight. This is my wish but probably not feasible

I read somewhere that after she made that comment, her and Browne met up and she changed her mind, She's apparently more than happy to work with him so no issues.scoobydoo wrote:What about the fact that Jodie sizer said “ she will never sit on a board with Jeff Browne “?
I assume she’s resigned. If not what’s her agenda? Collingwood or personal?
I hope someone asked her in the Q & A why she hasn’t left the supposed privliged members on the board.

Jeff Browne did an interview with Sportsday earlier this evening.
Topics include:
[*] His initial reaction of being elected to the board.
[*] Pushing for the club to reach 100,000 members, which is a top priority for him.
[*] Won't be Eddie McGuire 2.0. Declares himself his "own person".
[*] The soft cap.
[*] His view on an independent review of the AFL.
[*] His stance on whether he supports the inclusion of a Tasmanian team entering the AFL as the 19th team.
[*] The situation concerning Jordan De Goey.
[*] His favourite Collingwood player of all time.

I must say, I was very surprised to hear Jeff Browne saying how well the club's finances are, how they are well on the way to delivering on the Do Better Report, and how well the new coaching and playing group are. It kinda made me wonder what all the urgency about having to storm the Board and take over as President was all about, if everything was so well in order?

Dont give me the clubs that get hand outs from the AFL.
The AFL want 18 teams for the media rights.
9 games per week.
The media rights are the golden goose.
It is a myth that Ed saved us financially.
Ed wasnt the golden goose.
Ed was a rabbit.

Not correct. Collingwood was very close to bankruptcy in the 80’s and had to depend on supporter donations for survival until the Ranald McDonald regime. We even had ““Save Our Side” fund raising events.90 nice wrote:Collingwood will always be right for the $
