Scott Pendlebury (Silk)
Moderator: bbmods
There's not going to be a lot of changes (3 max I reckon) to a side which has been playing so well. Obviously Bucks will come back in and i'd like to see Travis and Pendlebury come in as well. Rhyce was not mentioned as one of our better players at willi, so I can't see him sneaking back in just yet, whereas Pendlebury has been amongst the best for several weeks, including BOG yesterday. The outs should be Jason, Harry and Maxwell (who will come back in again soon).

Pendles is starting to smash the door down but, given his limited pre-season, glandular fever etc. I am sure he will be given plenty of time.
Rhyce must be close, still NQR in terms of fitness base I'vebeen told.
Booch and Davies there and abouts.
Cam keeping himself in contention and could come in if Travis doesn't come up.
Out: J. Clo, Harry, Carrots
In: Bux, Richards, Travis (Cam if no Trav)
Emg: Booch, Davies, Pendles/Cam

The hard part is working out who to drop; Caracella will be out for Buckley and J Cloke out for C Cloke or Richards. So we have to drop one more. [quote]
Harry has to be dropped as he goes back on to the rookie list this week.

While we are doing well i would rather see pendles stay at Willy.
This is going to be a huge game.. make no mistake, i think this will be just as tough as the weagles game.
I would like to see carra stay in. He uses the ball well and is super smart...but who else do you drop because the cats get back Moon-dog next week and that means we will need another tall.
this is what i see happening at selection
Out: Harry/Jason and carra
In: Cam and Bucks
Jason did himself no favours on saturday night but i think its fair to say that he's a backman and that is a hard backline to crack into. Harry was no better than Jason, Mr. Fumbles big time and he cost us a few times when we were rebounding the ball from CHB. That was the first time that the occasion seemed to get to Harry, surprising seeing he did ok on Anzac Day

Give Harry a break and Jason was OK against the Weagles. Harry was under a lot of pressure playing in his home town and his entusiasm got the better of him. Mind you he spent plenty of time on the bench which is something that has not happened so far in the games he has played.
Scott is an outstanding talent and in many respects has even more potential than Dale.
He should have played against Carlton.
If not this week, I would love to see Scott play against the Dogs. Who gets left out is a very difficult question. Perhaps Taz can get some shooting practice down at Williamstown?

Harry out (J Cloke to take his position on field) for Richards or Cam (back up Ruck) Hope it is Cam.
Carecella (UNLUCKY) for Bux.
Optional: Jcloke for Trav Cloke - but would be short a defender!
Don't think we need to many changes unless there are weary legs we are unaware of.
If Pendes comes in you have to keep the balance which would mean Thomas out. Not sure if you can cary too many kids at once. Not that they havn't been performing, but you can't bring in a kid midfielder for a Defensive player or senior midfileder when the balance is almost right IMO. So we need to swap like for like.

Here is a link with some interesting comments on Pendles (all good) by opposition supporters too, also has a run down of the cfc listed players who played.

I honestly wouldn't drop Cara - he set up a few goals for us on the weekend, and he is a handy footballer to have on your team. He contributes a number of goal assists with creative hands and feet which often go unsighted.
I'd like to see Jason Cloke remain in the side - he did not do much wrong in his limited time on the ground on Saturday night.
Harry may be forced to depart back to the rookie list, which may open up a place (sadly).
Contenders for inclusion: Buckley (will play), Richards, Pendlebury
Contenders for a demotion: Caracella (I'd try to keep if possible), J.Cloke (ditto).
Caracella must play. Must. Ditto Wakes - hwo could you drop a guy who just had just played his best match this season?
As for Pendles, the time, has come, but who to leave out?

From what i remember years ago... Scott was a pretty good player (his mum taught me in primary skool) i haven't seen much of him at all recently... But i say give the bloke a chance... some fresh legs returning from the west wouldn't go astray... At least we know bucks will be back and re-freshed... Cam back in the side would also be an added bonus... But definently should consider Pendles
