Man, that's pretty screwed up. Probably not much chance he'll have survived, I'm guessing. :(

I still can't comprehend the thought process of the parents.

Let's hope he's somehow survived but it's looking increasingly likely that it will be a sad outcome the longer he is missing.

Somethings not ringing true there either, they say they left him alone for five minutes, then went to get him, how far could he have got in five minutes? I reckon the normal reaction of a child left like that would be to run after the car, at least for thirty seconds. Certainly not to bolt off into the forest.
Abandonment sure is harsh punishment, terrifying for a kid that age.

These parents do deserve to be charged.

It's certainly raised eyebrows from many people regarding whether he was left for only five minutes as the parents claim.

It just seems unusual that they haven't been able to locate the boy after four days.

The ABC running a story about deconstructed coffee in Abbotsford . The beard and bun crowd of wanker hipsters might like it but I would be saying. If you can't make it properly here is your deconstructed money and crockery.

I am not sure if I can quantify the answer. I have to think about that one for a while.

Wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't part of one of their freaky game shows.
Can your child survive a week in a bear infested forest?

^^^ I didn't read the story closely, but he seems to have snuck into an army base on the first day and taken shelter there for the week, with water but apparently no food. The fact that a 7-yo could hide out in Japanese military barracks, a few km from where he went missing, for a week when there was a country-wide search on for him doesn't say anything particularly reassuring about the internal security of their army.
