Mark Keane scratch off the list.

Is now expected to stay at the crows after they have come with a better deal. Longer term, more money.

The Bombers have apparently said to Jake Stringer, if he can get a better deal elsewhere, more than a one yr contract, they have their blessing for him to look elsewhere, for a longer contract. Thats what Tim Watson has said today, its on. So, he booted 42 goals this season, handy big forward , soooo, WHO WANTS JAKE IN BLACK N WHITE NEXT SEASON ?? Id love to have him, yep !

His %$^%$ as a person outweighs any good he could bring on field.

He is a rolled-gold 40 plus a year goal kicker and can help De Goey by taking the odd centre bounce.
Please get him.

Would also love to see both of Peatling and Alex Davies in Black and White.

The drop-off for mids like Sidey, Pendles, Crisp can be quite quick at the end of their careers- so best be prepared.

One or both of the Whitlock twins would be awesome- could be the Rocca brothers until the next gen Rocca come on line...

I am very bullish about 2025.

A 40-plus a year goal kicker yes, but isn't that like 35 in the first half of the season?

Mind you, being at Essendon, he hasn't had finals wins to look forward to for a very long time...

"Adelaide defender Mark Keane is reportedly set to turn his back on a Collingwood homecoming and stay at West Lakes.

And while reports have indicated Keane was open to a return to the Pies, Herald Sun journalist Jay Clark revealed he’s set to remain a Crow after the club increased its offer to the intercepting backman."

Yeah, they mentioned it on mid week tackle last night.
Crows have come with a better offer. More money and longer term.

Hmmmmm.... now if we can get both Stringer and Houston, we have aced the trades, one is good forward, other a tough, dour backman, just what our Maggies need next season. Bring it on. !

“I think he will stay at Adelaide, this is disappointing news for Collingwood fans,” Jay Clark said on Fox Footy's Midweek Tackle...“But in conversations over the last 24 hours, Adelaide has come in late with a better deal — a few more pennies in the bag and years on his deal"

Hopefully it's just media being media but pretty disappointing as I think we'd basically ignored Battle because we were expecting Keane to come home. If this is the case, and he has decided to bait and switch, then I have nothing but contempt for the player. He's absorbed a lot of our time and effort, both before he left and now. Though another thought occurs to me; what if the current goings-on at admin level are effecting possible players opinions, the same way that Houston was turned off of a trade to Melbourne?

So, who do we go after now? Or is it another year of the ups and downs of Framps? Or perhaps we settle Special K for a pre-season of defencing and see what he can give? Or err...redraft Ruscoe?

Have we lost the edge of being a destination club or was this just another bullshit angle from the hack media? Can a hated club like Collingwood ever become a destination club? Years ago in Bendigo remember talking to people connected with Greg Williams about him considering Collingwood as an option when looking to play AFL football but they said that he hated Collingwood so that was never going to happen.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️
