Ah - I didn't think to look there.

NSW Health says that, of the 105 new cases:
69 cases were in isolation throughout their infectious period and seven cases were in isolation for part of their infectious period. 27 cases were infectious in the community, and the isolation status of two cases remains under investigation.
So, at least 34 cases were in the community for part or all of their infectious period.

And, in Victoria, a new case this morning (ie, not in the 16) in Mildura - linked to the MCG Carlton v Geelong game.

Looks like we'll get on top of COVID only to deal with the returning Australians from the Superspreader event in Tokyo. Maybe athletes need to return via Christmas Island.

My observations so far is that people are pretty blase about this lockdown. Maybe we've been through to many too long but the message seems to be wearing off, particularly with stupid rules like masks outside.

I did my morning walk this morning, 6.4km in 54 minutes which included stretches of jogging. I don't wear a mask, I have one in my pocket for justin.

The people I encountered on the walk, which took me no where near the shops, only a small number were wearing a mask properly. The vast majority were either maskless or wearing one as a chin strap.(More chin straps than maskless)

So after brunch I went grocery shopping, decided to go to Heidelberg Woolies as it's a good size and good variety and it allows me to take the back ways home and do some more observations.

Pretty much same thing played out. People standing around outside cafes were generally wearing masks properly. Spinning through Macleod Village, people sitting in the park drinking coffees maskless, 20+ parents (with masks) and small kids playing in the park on the play equipment.

My read is that lots of people are over this shit, sick of lockdowns and are barely paying lipservice to compliance.

Easy for Tassie to keep it away as they are on an Island and not part of Mainland Australia

I'm sure they have a large quota - they just haven't found anyone, yet, who would go there by choice.

Buckley on covid

Post by Mr Miyagi »

Sorry mods, didn’t know where to post this. Buckley’s questioned covid and his cosmetic nurse missus looks to be another “lockdown is like prison in my mega mansion!” Rebecca Judd. Oh dear. Well, I’ve lost a bit of respect for him if he’s another Pete Evans
