He's doing very well.
I thought Harry played a great game on the weekend too, seems to have left his slow start to the year behind him. He just seems to arch his back and burst away from defenders to clear the ball.

Reid is fast becoming one of the leagues better defenders while he still makes a couple of mistakes they seem to be lack of experience mistakes and he does not make them twice.

I must confess, 2 years ago I thought we'd picked up another Egan, Morrison, Roach etc...

As things stand, Ben is one of the best CHB in the competition and he will only improve. I have noticed in recent week's he is starting to push further up the ground and I'm sure he'll be kicking goals from defense by the end of the season.

Ben Reid reminds me of Burnsy who was underrated for many of his earlier years at the club. Ben will go on to be a superstar of the AFL, as will his younger brother Sam for Sydney. Both dead set young guns.

I reckon his kicking is fast becoming his best weapon - used to be a bit dodgy at times but now he lands 50 metre passes which are quick through the air and nearly always accurate

Top thread, Tom.

Been a Ben Reid fan since his debut. I saw the cost-no-object way this painfully skinny kid threw himself into harm's way to get the pill no matter what, and knew from thast moment on that Ben Reid was going to be a player.

I said so too, right here on Nick's. I remember some brain-dead Nickster going completely fruitcake because I said that Ben Reid's attack-the-ball-at-all-costs attitude reminded me of Gavin Brown. So who is looking stupid now, Mr Braindead?

(No idea who it was. If it worries you enough you can try searching for it.)

Since then, Reid has matured magnificently. His cool head reminds me of the great Jimmy Clement, and his ability to catch the pill regardless of pressure and opponents is outstanding. Oh, and then there is his kicking. Can I say "Jimmy Clement" again?

I don't think that in a usual season Reid's form would make him quite good enough for AA - but other than Scarlett there aren't really any KP backs who's names stand out right now.

I would have Mcpharlin as the AA CHB - with Reid not too far behind.

He must be AA. Devastating form, he's a rock back there in defence. Would be very surprised if he and Magic aren't AA, as well as Pendles, Clokey and possibly Daisy.
