No, just play L Brown every second week
As far as Fraser not earning a recall, L Brown has done nothing in the ruck in the VFL in the last few weeks, I doubt wether he has even got a hit out... perhaps that's got something to do with him playing mostly FF - it's hard to do well in the ruck and kick 6 goals from FF
Basically, Brown has done nothing to warrant selection IN THE RUCK either, and everything to warrant selection at FF. So if you play Dawes and L Brown, you're robbing Brown of a chance to play FF and putting him in a postion he hasn't played for a month (ruck).
Having said that, I'm surprised as well, I would've thought that having Brown and Jolly would allow them to play another small forward. We might see some changes come Sunday

Has anyone thought that L.Browns inclusion may be for a specific role?
There is a bloke in the opposition named B.Lake, who by all reports aint a bad backman.
Maybe, just maybe, he is to play a forward defensive role on Mr Lake. And do a bit of damage physically, like we know he can. Throughing a bit of defensive aggression down there. Maybe a bit of niggle.
Getting Lake out of the contests is a massive part of winning the game. I'm not so sure Dawes would be capable of this role.

Horses for courses.
Leroy would be the first to admit he is not a FF.
I prefer to see him told to go and do a certain job, be it rough up, support, backline assistance and the odd ruck role.
Certainly not a 22 gamer but if MM plays it right and keeps Anvil hungry to play then all the better for us against certain sides.

I have a lazy eye and I think it is now spreading throughout the rest of my body

^^That's my thought. Both Anthony and Dawes have struggled against quality backs. Whereas Leroy was very good against the Cats, twice, last year and good against the Dogs in round 1. His greatest impact in his time at the club, has been against good teams.
Even if he doesn't play well offensively, he brings a presence neither of the other two do, a stronger defensive game, and greater versatility.
Dawes or Anthony will be back, unless Leigh tears it up - unlikely.

I hope Dawes doesn't stay out for too long...but I have no problem sending him back for touch. He's shown a bit in my opinion. But Leigh Brown does have the capacity to come in and have a more immediate impact. Its just his form has never been consistent.
He was quite handy against the Doggies in Round 1 however, doing a lot of goal assist work.

There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.
