Yeah, I'm keen on Kennedy and also Perryman. Aged 27 and 25.

I'm assuming we're not in the race for Houston, and Peatling is staying at GWS? Are we still going to look at Hobbs?

After listening to the first 8 minutes of Gettable, a few players were mentioned. Like every media outlet though its all speculation and guessing. So, Jack Macrae has nominated the Saints. I wonder, would this affect Fin at all? Will he want to join his brother? Did they grow up Saints fans? Is another club interested, or are we persisting with him?

I know this one doesn't exactly help our veteran quandary. But Todd Goldstein. Essendon may let him go after 1 season. Apparently, we had talks with him last year, but he just decided on the Bombers. Would we entertain him as a 1-year rookie selection? Giving him an opportunity to get more into coaching, but being available to play if there were any injuries to our main guys? We did this with Ben Hudson a few years back now. I know we have Steene, Smit and Eyre coming through. Just a thought.

@Presti35 Perhaps if Goldstein possesses coaching attributes to go with his experience, it may well be worth putting a rookie contract in front of him, if he was willing to play 1st ruck in the Magoo's and assist with the development of Steene & Smit. Might be a workable solution to get around a coaching soft cap.
Would he be the best available to do that? Someone else would no doubt have a better view of available ruck stocks / role players than I do.
If Cameron was to sustain any LT injury, it'd then prove great insurance if Cox wasn't seen as a viable LT ruck replacement. Steene & Smit are a long way off competing against the comp's best rucks.

Port is still interested in Joe Richards.
Peatling has 6 Clubs chasing his signature, including us.
We've come hard late for Perryman.

No doubt this trade period will be complicated, and we'll need to cross the streams. I've no idea, but I'll play list manager for a moment ~
I suspect Port who have chased Lukosius for 4 years might need to get us involved in order to satisfy the GCS.

@Magpie Russ Maybe Suns only table pick #20, then it gets complicated. They could sweeten it with some late picks however they need to protect their points bank required for any external GCS academy pick bids.

I like the scenario - if we could end up with Houston AND pick 12 this year, losing Noble, Richards and our future first then (I think taken in the context of getting a FS next year etc) that would be a good deal IMO.

It’s invariably a 100:1 shot to happen just like that, but we should be chuffed if it does.

Add a free agent and away we go! Honouring an all-in tilt in 2025 but also chipping away at the medium term too.
