Bob Rose. A Legend of Collingwood and of football.

We were so lucky to have such a special person play footy for our club and give so much of his time to our club.

Sympathies to the Rose family and our Collingwood family.

Bob Rose a true gentleman, a magnificent family man and a true Collingwood legend. This is a very sad day for the Collingwood Football Club. You will never be forgotten.

RIP Bob.
I saw the news tonight and they said he wasn't doing well. And I just had this ill feeling in my gut "it" wasn't going to be long.

I am truly upset and we always think these legends will live forever.

Physically they won't, but in our hearts and memories they will live an eternity.

There are a lot of veteran Collingwood supporters around who will tell you that Bob Rose was the greatest Collingwood player to ever pull on the black and white jumper.

I never saw him play ... but I respect the opinions of the people who told me that.

A courageous footballer who met life's challenges and heartbreaks with the same courage that he displayed when playing football.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of our true legend Bobby Rose. He was and is an inspiration, hope our boys can win for him this Saturday.
