Sensational stuff. I agree with the majority here - if we give up anything major I won't be happy. If O'Bree, McGough or one of our lower picks is involved fine, but Pick 7 should not even be mentioned in this trade. Smith, Morrison and one more (Bartel/Tenace/Harvey) would be a great return from the trade/PSD period.

his not worth anything youve said so far.
why not just pick 23.
OR ath the most McGough and O'Bree for Smith and pick 52
Why on earth would Hawthorn accept those two for their best defender, and one of their best players?
I'm just being realistic.
Realistic?
Why would we make that trade?
Our fullback for a back flanker/occasional midfielder when we have enough half backman (Not saying dont trade for smith, but not our fullback)
Then Lonie and pick 23? Lonie is young and only gonna get better, pick 23 could be used for a decent youngster.
Smith is only worth a 23 (ie. Woey for 16)
If I was Hawthorn I'd take just Lonie for Smith anyday. But Hawks dont need antother Lonie

If we work this right, it could be the bargain of the year - especially if he's determined to get out.
But I don't like the idea of trading Lonie or Presti - pick #23 is fine.
And he's not bad on the ball either - what's his pace like?

I would trade pick 23, plus a player, at most. Not sure about the player though.
Streak, he is reasonably quick. Has very good evasive skills.

If it were 23 and a player, give them McGough. The guy wants out of Collingwood and he'd get a regular spot in Hawthorn's midfield.
I actually think this trade could happen, as I heard Hawthorn are trying to address their problem with clearances. They were last in the comp (I think) for them this year and would love a player to help in that area - and we all know clearances are one of McGough's major strengths.

SEN just repeated it on the 4pm news. Listening to the Run Home now, to see if Dermie says anything.

Dermie is not in yet, still doing trade crap. But, they will ask him when he gets in. Rumour, and rumour only, is that a deal has been done.
SEN receiving calls from Collingwood supporters asking what is going on. Huddo keeps telling them to stay tuned, and they will ask Dermie.

Not sure what you mean.
But its just the rumour, that A deal has been done. No idea if it is true, and it's not a rumour off Bigfooty, it's from SEN. They don't know. They said they will speak to Dermie when he gets in to see what the news is.

If we trade Lonie we have got rocks in our heads. When he moves on to the wing he will become a genuine stinger
