I expect I am in the minority, but I would be delighted with those 2 as package deals. Loosing Lica, Scotland and McKee and draft picks 1 and 2 for Croad and Everitt would amount to a big improvement at the top end of our list. Given our relative youth and late selections due to concessions this is a good result.
I woulodn't mind betting it won't happen though.

HITMAN!! You are kidding? Lockyer is not a good enough trade for Croad? BWWWAAAAAAHAHAHAHA! Dude....you are living in lala land....It is painfully obvious that you don't catch many Collingwood games, if you did, you'd see the true value of Tarkyn as he is a terrific leader (at 21!) and has courage personified, great ball skills, one of the most prolific kicks in our side...as I clearly stated on my previous post in this topic.."Croad is all HYPE by Dermott Brereton" He has not yet proven himself....Yes he has potential and ability, that is clear......but he has yet to stand up and be counted....he has had flashes of great play...but let's not kid ourselves, so has McKee! The last player Dermott was over HYPING - stating he had potential to be in Carey's class was AARON JAMES!!! LMAO!!!! Enough said!

Ash, isn't Lica a vice captain? (I think made so by MM in his first season). But otherwise passionately and quite correctly put.
As for Lockyer, well throughout 2001, he was the player, I heard opposition supporters say they would not mind in their team. Now, I maybe stupid, but I never give away what everyone else wants.

Hitman, I am accusing you of failing to remain unbiased (as an aspiring journalist, not as a foreigner to this board). Defending Croad? Saying he is worth more than Lockyer?
Then why, of all the Hawks talls, is he the one being offered as trade bait by the Hawks recruiting staff. Too much money for not enough performance, thats what I would guess.
I really think that Collingwood can do no better than to leave Hawthorn lumped with Croad. Certainly there is no way we should give up one of stars in Lockyer. Not even for Licuria, who is starting to pay dividends for the game time we have invested in him (unless the Hawks also throw in a draft pick). But then, I am incapable of being unbiased when it comes to Collingwood.
