Special mention to Maxwell, who tried his heart out all day, but got crucified by the umps... were any of those frees actually there?

Hard to believe i dont have Medhurst in there, or Shaw as Best on Field. SHaw would've been clearly best on field if he kicked one of those goals...but i cant give him BOG considering the amount of wasted opportunities in front of goal.

And Medhurst had a poor first half, especially that snap that hit the post.Came good when it counted but.

1.Bryan - I thought he was great and was so relieved when he kicked the first goal for us.

Would have also picked Clarke, Harry O'Brien and Heath Shaw but that's too many extra votes!

3 Clarke
2 Cloke
1 O'Brien

Although both were in our best, I docked Rhyce Shaw for his appalling disposal (should have been BOG for his workrate, but skill-wise I thought this was one of his poorer games for some time) and Medhurst for what was really a pretty terrible first half.

Swan and Lockyer were very solid too I thought.

My votes are,in the main, going to the players who kept us in it in the first half. In the second hald, the whole team lifted and (Medhurst aside) it would be hard to give votes to any three and not give them to six or eight others. But in the first half, twoor three players busted their guts to keep us in it. Full credit to them.

3: Cloke - tought, gut-busting running to make position, took two quality defenders most of the day, never stopped working, took some very tough contested marks - gave us something to aim at all day, especially early when the game was in the balance.

2: Medhurst - Dominated in the second half, several brilliant goals, chased hard, tackled hard, made some mistakes but you have to take risks and most of them came off. Kicked 5 and 2 posters.

1: Goldsack - did a heap of good, hard work early on before the game was won, especially the little things that make a side into a team - tackling, spoiling, knocking on, sheparding his mates. Working back towards his best form now.

After watching the replay.

3. Harry O'Brien - Dashing from defence.

2. Marty Clarke - His disposal was spot on.

1. Travis Cloke - Contested marks galore.

Apologies to Medhurst (awesome second half, the 2nd quarter turnover cost him a vote) & R. Shaw (could've kicked 3, should've kicked 3).

(I thought most of those frees against Maxy were there...Not one of his best games)
