Unless its a smacking either way, I don't see the result as a big influence.

The Cats look way too top heavy imo. I reckon we'll blitz them with pace. Pies by 36 points in a canter.

Cats have ablett, wojinski, varcoe, stokes, etc- hardly slowcoaches any of those. We underestimate them at our peril.

Would like to win this one and give the likes of Jolly & ball a chance to freshen up for finals which will be chaotic

This feels like Round 8 2002...Turning point that year IMO..

I feel we have too many options up front.

Funnily the teams that have beaten the cats , we have smashed...

The 1st qtr is the key...

Go Pies...

You know you've been right with your predictions these past many weeks no matter how outlandish they might first appear to some nervous nellies!! (meaning me).

Go pies.

wrong one, that's his younger brother, Travis is bloody fast and knows where the goals are. We must exterminate! GoldSack would allow him no loose ball.

match preview will be up soon. Probably just after lunch.

Selection is going to be interesting. I hope Cats name a full side. I don't want the Cats to win with half a side and really deflate us....and I don't want to win knowing we played a half strength side.

I'd rather measure ourselves up against a strong Cats outfit to see where we stand.

Result means little, but we can learn a lot from a dead rubber like this. Plus I want the minor premiership so Cats have to play Saints first round.

I made the trip down for the round 9 game and with the inexperienced line up we had and the number of senior players out that day(5 if memory serves),we went very well for a long time.A 6minute lapes saw geelong ice us and a couple of easy MacAffer misses in the last 1/4 could have put us back in the game. The big thing I noticed about that game was the devestation caused by Wojinski. We need to shut his run off half back down, just as teams try to shut Shaw down. The rest of the match ups seem to work and with 5 senior players back,Jolly and Ball hitting top form it's ours to lose.
