watt price tully wrote:Condolences TP. Very sad. I don't like having pets for the reason for this thread. However I now have a bootiful baby boy - only 9 years dog 3/4 standard poodle & 1/4 labrador. Also have two cats - both female the second from my in laws.

We have a proverbial pet cemetery in our front yard amongst the roses.

Anyway, be well over the loss of your other familiy member.
thankyou WTP

On the weekend my wife & I picked up 2 little boxer puppies.
It was over 12 months ago that we had to put our retired greyound George down. He was 12 years old & the local vet diagnosed him with arthritis. We tried all sorts of things to treat him including bringing in medicine from the USA. But I think the vet got it wrong & we suspect bone cancer. My wife & I were inconsoulable for a long time & just couldn't think about another dog. Time heals & we discussed it lately that we were ready to let a dog or dogs own us again;) I'm not going to think about what happens when they get old, I'm just going to enjoy every minute of them while they are here..
You are going to have your hands full. Boxers can be very energetic. My wife I I had a Boxer called Bandit for 13 years prior to Toby as detailed above. At times he was more human than dog. He was a wonderful pet and friend. He had an uncanny effect of interpreting your moods and acting accordingly. Against my wishes he slept at the end of my daughters bed every night.

We cannot live without a dog in the house. Without a dog we get the sense that something is missing. It will not be long until we find a new friend to adopt.

Congratulation and enjoy your new family members.

Thank you. Here is the female (Hana)

Thanks TP, she's a ball of energy. I will put one up of the male soon.
I've heard of being the runt of the litter but he is ridiculous. He is so much smaller than her that he can walk underneath her. We are very much trying to build him up a bit. Still a very cute little fella though.

Male boxer as promised (Floyd)
See what I mean about size? Believe it or not they are litter mates.

my little Molly was the runt of the litter, and i still reckon the pick!!

i have her dad Max, whos is a toy poodle, her mum was a minitue which is the next size up. her brother and sister are massive, way taller than their dad, my Max.

Molly is a tiny ball of love and fun without a mean bone in her body!!

she has given me reason to smile the last few days,

This morning I played with my 16 years 4 month old Toy Poodle, Max, fed him a ton of smoked salmon and chocolate, told him I loved him, doped him up, and the vet came to the house and let him go gently on his way.

If only humans were afforded such a peaceful send off. I live in hope.

Goodbye my Boy, you had a great life, spoilt rotten, loved til the end, and I miss you already,

RIP Max,
And yes, you were a GOOD Dog! Xxx

^Oh very sorry - always hard to lose a member of the family :(

That's a fair innings and a gentle peaceful way to leave the earth.

Vale Max

You knew it was coming, well done doing the right thing even though it would have been bloody hard.

I admire your level of emotional connection with your pets, even if I can't empathise.

take it easy and don't hit the honey too hard.
