Reality check given to PIes, but we still snagged the important four points.

The Lad is still betting that Geelong will be unbeaten and we will have only lost one game by Round 24.

Anyone else think that one could be excused for thinking we were cheated of several free for chopping in marking contests???

Im over the mistreatment we get from the Maggots...

Travis Cloke is as dominant as his old man was.

Ball (24 possessions, 12 tackles, 8 clearances) & Swan remain my heroes.

Daisy, please sign(with us) and get back to playing magnificent football.

Being a triple Magpie Premiership player is always worth more than being the marquee player for a club that will last no more than 10 years before merging with Western Bulldogs..
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

What the hell came over Pendles tonight... first that kick and then when he ran the flank and handballed to nobody... never seen him like that before

An injury would save him from the humiliation of being dropped, because there's no way he could be picked on form.

I'm worried that we're falling into old selection habits.

Hawthorn has blooded 10 news kids this year and most will be stars. We gave Fasolo a game and that's all. I'm worried that if bad form to the likes of Didak, Krakouer and Blair continues and we get a few more injuries, the cupboard will be bare of experience.

Really, on form, tell me why on earth Leigh Brown or Nick Maxwell should be playing right now?

Nine times out ten we would have iced that game in the second and third quarters. We wasted 50 minutes of sheer domination and used up all our usual energy and momentum for a big bunch of behinds and out on the fulls.

Hell, it happens sometimes. At least a couple times in a season. This was ours. Lets move on and not dwell. Nt team is perfect.

3-Cloke
2-Swan
1-Ball

We were just abysmal in front of goal. Yes, bad kicking is bad footy but I'm not worried in the slightest moving forward. I think thats the first time we've kicked more behinds than goals this year?

A win is a win regardless.
Agreed 100% with this. Hopefully have shaken off the 'bye' cobwebs. We DO need Jolls back though. Well done Pies.

Hopefully Keefe might be given more time in the ruck at VFL level.

Leroy continues to have a pretty average season and Keefe would be the best option to replace him if it's required.

When Jolly returns he will provide us with another forward option so I do like the thought of having young Keefe in the side as a tall defender/2nd ruck as it would provide us with even greater team balance.
He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD!

This. sydney we were not even in the same league as us for a big part pf the game. Lady luck to get the last 3 in the 3rd and some poor disposal helped. We were the far better side. Sure we could have still lost it, but not much to really worry about apart from the yips in front of goal.

Just the sort of game we need to keep us mentally sharp. Had we kicked straight and won by 8+ we would have got less out of it. Now we will analyse this to the nth degree and come away better for it.

Thought Didak was OK until he went off. I thought we lost a bit of outside supremacy and polish when he got injured. He wasn't steller, but solid.

Cloke = Best Key forward in the game.

Pendles just seemed off at times. Still had a great game.

Swannie!...... Great first game back.

Good just to win those types of games. Because we could have easily lost it.

Taz. Excellent!

Our fringe players struggled and not as damaging as normal. Wellers, Siddey, Krak, JMac, Goldy, Brown, Dawes etc.

11 wins and 1 loss. Probably cements our top 8 position.

Do I suggest that Brown goes out for Jolly and not Wood?

We were Bloody Lucky we won that Game I thought and we needed a Close game to see if we could Grind out a Win and we did:thumbsu:

  • Cloke has to be the Best CHF in the Comp at the Moment
  • Wood was Usless and I reckon Shae would been no Worse tonight
  • Worse game I seen of Daisy ever
  • Hopefully our Shocking Goal Kicking was a 1 Night Thing
  • Bye is a Real Factor as we where very Sluggish tonight
  • Ball is our Best Mid at the Moment
  • Swan looks to moving better
  • Pendles was Quiet but still used the Ball Well
  • Did anyone else wanted to Shoot Tim Lane Tonight?

 If our place in the eight was ever in question we may as well give the Scum the flag now.

I don't want to settle for anything less than first after Round 24. But there's no margin for error because the next game Geelong will lose will be against us in Round 24. :D

I know what you're tring to say, but the concrete had set and cured a long time before this week on the 8. Don't you think?

Might be more apt to worry about 16-17 wins and cement a top 4.

Edit: Yeah what Jack said.
