You're trippin.
He's pretty important to our side and midfield... easily our 2nd best player by a long way - it would be a HUGE blow to lose him.

Fact is a pretty loosely used word around here.

I'd suggest you get your 'facts' straight.

Well you believe what you want to believe, Damien, I couldn't really give a stuff to be honest. I'm comfortable with what I know. I occasionally put it out there when I know something.

No dramas mate. They've made it pretty clear they'd like to get him. So he knows that at the end of this contract they'll come knocking. Which is as good as making him an offer now.

Give above the asking price to hang on to Beamer.
He is in our top three players and can't be let go.

Re-signing A graders is more important than gloating about the signatures of young up and comers who have yet to establish themselves in the team let alone in the AFL.

Re-signing Beams is a massive priority. If he decides that he wants to leave, the hole that he will leave will not be easily replaced.
The rumours that he is unhappy at Collingwood as he is nearing his peak as a player are concerning.
Whether he chooses to stay or go will tell a lot about whats going on within the football club.

Take it to the bank! Beams staying!

I reckon Beams (who is 2 years younger than Pendles) is on a par with our captain in terms of importance to the club. What one does extra well, the other does well and vice-versa.

Bit like comparing Selwood + Johnson, Mitchell + Lewis or J.P.Kennedy + Hannebury.

Easily 1 + 2 at the club with a gap to the next tier which includes the like of Cloke, Sidebottom and Reid (when fit).

Having traded Wellingham, Dawes, Shaw, Daisy and most likely Heritier, it would be disastrous for us to lose a player of the skill and experience of Beams. It would be devastating psychologically to our young team. Side by side must mean something.

I thought Beamsy is contracted till the end of next year.

Heater had another year to go on his contract too.
