I'd rather grab Lever from Adelaide, Petracca from Melbourne, and Cockatoo from the Cats.
I actually think there's a chance Nakia Cockatoo will turn out to be the best player taken in this year's draft. We should have some idea in 2-3 years I guess. Hopefully the Iceman comes on as Hine expects.

I'm disappointed I'm unable to make a call based on video highlights and one season of pro stats like many can. :P

Sounds like you might over-credentialled to offer an opinion on our recruits

C'mon, guys - we didn't even take a player with every pick. Epic fail. 5 picks, 4 players. I feel very short-changed. Doesn't our recruiting department have to be able to count to get a gig?

With so many big bodied midfielders now on our list I reckon our fleet of dwarfs are under the pump.

I'm hoping we can manage to grab Sam Weideman in next years draft. Then overlooking Wright will be forgiven :P

Frost needs to be promoted onto our primary list. He's in our best 22. Correct call. I'm still trying to figure out why we got Armstrong last year and before that Russell. It's those players who clog up our list and prevent us getting young guns such as James Stewart and Jake Kelly.

De Goey and Maynard look to be almost ready to go bodywise, Maynard in particular looks to be an animal for the contest.

We have been crying out for more big bodied mids to match the comp leaders, so now we have them - time to stop complaining and start salivating at the prospects of Freeman, Maynard, De Goey and even young Goodyear - who seems a red hot goer if only his foot disposal can be tidied up.

Add them to our current incumbents and with the prospect of Shazza to add to it our midfield is looking HUGE in the very near future.

Yes, which means we can't get him as his old man didn't play enough games.

Anyway, I hear he's a Richmond supporter

Hine has said we did not Draft a Tall because we already had Darcy Moore at Pick 9

That's why we didn't draft another tall now Dave. Also, because we had a more urgent need to shore up our big bodied midfield stocks. Now that is secured, I reckon we'll be looking at a couple of emerging KPPs over the next year or two. Remember, Clokey will be pushing 30 in a couple of years. Also, the jury is still out on the long term futures of Keeffe, Brown and White.

I suspect we will aggressively chase Cameron
