Disappointing though it was, one had to be proud of our young team. We fought all night and a few errant mistakes in the last quarter cost us the game.
Is De Goey a future star or what?
Bring in Reid, Greenwood and Grundy and we're a genuine contender.
Well done Witts. Although Sandilands got on top in the last quarter, he battled all night and made it a genuine contest.

that free kick against frost was there. the one against seedo was not. how the fukk can they pay holding the ball when the ball is clearly being pinned to him? i don't usually get into the umps but that was a disgrace.Piesnchess wrote:Very proud of our young team, gave it their all, against a very experienced hardnut opponent, we gave it our all. In the end, i reckon the umps got the bastards home, that last decision, that gifted them a goal, was a farking disgrace, softest free seen this season, then the yellow maggots followed it up with more shockers, ruined a great game in the end. Dont ever tell me umps dont decide games, those hometown last qtr decisions cost us big. ! But still proud of the boys, tried their guts out. I also think we need Ben Reid back as soon as possible now too. Disappointed but heads up high.

~ Freo dont impress me at all as flag favourites, an ageing list that nearly lost to a bunch of raw kids, on their own pissing ground. Lyon may have blown his load again, for a flag, cannot see it with this mob.

Gutsy 4 qtr effort will loss no admirers.
White's place is now under real threat if Ben Reid is ready in a couple weeks White is gone
Varcoe was great tonight his attacking on the ball was marvellous
We didn't get the bounce of the ball all night. How many scrubbing kicks from them found a spare man ?
Most of there goals came from guys standing by themselves outside of a contest
Adams played well and is getting better
Our disposal under pressure again showed up how many out of bounds did we have in the 2nd half
Cloke tried hard just never got into th game
I don't know what's up with Sidey but he is having no impact on the game at all and his disposal is way off. Hope he is just still finding his feet after the thumb
Crisp was very good
Wits battled manfully all night just got beaten down in the end
Take Walters and Fyfe from them and we win very easily
We showed we can compete and that's a huge plus. I don't think we played all that well really we didn't run as much as previously but maybe we changed plans tonight to slow the game down
Hats off to Pendles for a fantastic leaders game knocked up getting it and also directed traffic for the younger guys as well

Frees not the reason we lost but our way 12-5 in the first half, their way 10-5 in the second half.stoliboy wrote:4 quarter effort by the Pies against the ladder leaders in their home state.
Varcoe's attack on the ball, Crisp, awesome!
Cloke finished the game with 0.0 and White 0.1. A bit more from both of them and we might have got across the line.
Some soft frees in the last quarter to Freo but a lot to take away!
Goal with 10 seconds to go in the second and <10 seconds in the 3rd really hurt.

seedsman is a dope and was responsible for quite a few clangers in the last quarter. there's no excuse for kicking the ball out on the full like we did in th last quarter. When seedy was tackled in the middle he should have at least tried punching the ball - even though he couldn't get rid of it. The scumps only want to see an attempt and seedsman didn't make an attempt. He wasn't helped by side arse's dinky little grubber kick either.
