Funny, that - check out the respective ladder positions.

Collingwood actually played reasonably competitively and the game plan held up well, considering that they had to cover the loss of Cloke, Adams and Elliott. Some of you have ridiculous expectations about what the team will do when its entire forward line gets a calf injury 5 minutes into the first quarter.

It was also great to see one or two of you getting in early to bag Sidebottom: it's always that little bit harder to bag him after the 37 disposal game.
The eagles game plan was better.

I long for the day that we produce structures like the "web" that elevate good sides to great and gets the whole football world talking and trying to figure out how to break them down.

Bucks thought there style was similar to the press that we produced in 2010, the press that was meant to be done and worked out.

Bucks thought we could poke holes in it, he said so prior to the game.

Well we might have done that a few times but 30 to 15 insides 50's till half time tells me Simpson and his web had claimed another victim.

We've done a lot of things right under Bucks this season and I'm happy with the progress that seems to have been made but it would appear when it comes to structures at least a handful of other coaches do it better.

Remember too, it's worth noting the Malthouse said after 2010 that the game plan was something he started working on in 2006. I remember everybody saying Malthouse had no idea, but it came off.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a similar thing in coming years.
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey, we want some Bayley!

Lot easier to manage an I50 when you don't turn the ball over on the wing.

Surely to God we can find a spot for Marsh next week.

He wont be the difference but after 4 losses and against a young dogs side he deserves an opportunity.

Moore in for Cloke.

Thought we'd struggle to contain their midfield so the result not unexpected.

How about we see how the VFL goes. Who were you thinking he'd replace?

Under the circumstances, yes, Dave. To lose Cloke in the first 15 minutes with Elliott out was a major disruptor, and I don't think you can fault the effort and commitment the boys put in. Our rucks got killed, the narrowness of Etihad really doesn't suit us.

WCE are likely to figure way into September and we faced them without our #1 extractor, our #1 small forward, and the beast-focus of our forward line. To be stil lin it with 10 minutes to go was reasonable. It's not good enough to lose, but there was plenty of courage and commitment shown.

Toovey should be "court marshalled" for that late "slice kick" into the forward line that hit the Eagles defenders lace out and turned a Pies foray into an Eagles goal.

145 matches later and he is still masquerading as a footballer and a media darling!

The eagles could just find themselves in a GF this season.

Them and the hawks appear the teams to beat.

Yeah, let's drop every player who stuffed a F50 entry. Reckon that might make for about 15 changes though.
