The thing that really stood out to me today was our forward structure (or lack of it) and our entry into the forward 50. Yes, the effort from the players was inconsistent, but even when we did win the ball we seemed to immediately turn it over following our forward 50 entry.
Very often their defenders were taking uncontested marks. Even when there were long kicks into the forward line, which although isn't ideal, should have resulted in a contest. Our forwards rarely looked to be playing in front of the defenders. When there was a contest, we seemed to have no one there crumbing.
The worst part was that a lot of their goal came from rebounds from our 50.
It was a huge contrast to 2010 when we seemed to be able to lock the ball in the forward 50 fairly regularly. That was my impression from watching on TV anyway, I'd be interested to know if it appeared the same to those at the ground.

I wish Culprit, I fear this board is that insular, closed minded and adverse to any internal dissent that it'll take another full season of this rubbish, then one more, on top of the last 3, for the President, Coach, CEO and the rest of the yes men around the joint to even admit there is a problem.

Pisss Weak
Never been so disgusted. They are missing Varcoe big time, but he cannot turn this rabble around by itself.
Contested ball???? T Adams & were only ones who should not get shot.
Give Malthouse 2 months & we might scrape into 8. If Buckley stays we might get the W Spoon

oh dear. I got called into work, and missed the whole match. I was able to watch the replay, but thought I would check first here how much we won by.
Oops, not gonna watch anything now, so for me at least, this match didn't happen.
reading the comments highlights the loss of Ramsay, one of the few players in the team with a bit of go.

I thought Langdon was great and next week we get varcoe back.
The only guy who can run over the ground and lay a tackle.
Now, to all the Blair lovers out there go look at the replay.
He fumbles, he doesn't chase, he didn't lay a tackle today.
How can anyone support having him in the side going forward.
To all the Hine lovers who keep telling me he is a genius.
I have banged on about Hine for the last 4 or so years.
Where are the Hine gems coming thru?
Aish looking ordinary.
Treloar ...good player but is he worth 2 top picks?
Howe... early days not looking flash
Adams... working class slogger who we gave up an AA
De Goey ..lousy kick on the run...working class mutton.
At pick 5 or so not a top gun.
Moore will be good but even the Dogs reckon he was worth a top punt.
Start playing the kids and give players like Goldy and Toovs and Blair and a few others the flick.

we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.
