Because if he'd kicked a goal, like he did in the VFL, that would've made all the difference?

Hes very competitive and takes a good grab, which is a lot more than we got today from a number of players, like bloody white. :?

We are pathetic. No plan ,no skill, weak as piss. I'm shattered .Our season is over. It's hard to say it as I WAS a total believer in Buckley, but he is a shit coach. He has pets that don't deserve a game and he continually plays these duds and now look at us.The laughing stock of the AFL.It's going to be a LONG year with many disappointments I really can't see us winning a game.
Yes we are a laughing stock..........Carlton are our only chance of a win

No but deflecting the reason for our s&@tfulness is the reason P&C writes this crap. It's every reason bar the fact we don't have a coach in P&C's eyes.

This game made me sad. the body language and faces of our players showed total loss of confidence. We have no system in our play whatsoever. No one comprehends the gameplan. We just get possession, and then there is no automatic understanding of where the next delivery should go to our next player...we just look up and around, and hope that someone else presents himself. In that time, the opposition covers our options. It as if we have drilled absolutely nothing ovr the preseason.
Our forward structure simply does not exist. We just bomb high balls in, hoping against all probability that one of our guys will mark. There is no precision delivery, no creation of one on one contests in our forward half.
All these things are to do with coaching. Our coaching, the conception of our structures, have, during the preseason, been totally surpassed by the rest of the AFL it seems.

That's the problem with lines in the sand. We seem to draw one every week, and they keep being washed away.

Well strangely enough I thought we played better that against Richmond. May say a lot about Richmond.
Time to put the 2010 premiership team to bed. The next great side that represents this club will not have anyone from the 2010 team in it. I say acknowledge that now and move on it.

I point out some players to come in that might just help, and i get accused of writing crap, look i know keyboard warriors like you hate buckleys guts, you thrive on this shit, but when someone points out players who could come in and improve the side, at least separate your hatred of buckely from that. :?

We had 99 tackles so the effort was there but our game plan and structure is diabolical.

Anyone know why Sidebottom's mark was disallowed?

Positives are Treloar, Moore, Sidebottom and having Varcoe back from injury. Not much else.

How did Cloke fail to make the distance with his kick from 40m out?

And Langdon's champagne comedy performance.

Runs back and saves a Melbourne goal, then wins the free kick. Then kicks the ball straight to an unmarked Melbourne player 20m out from goal. Hilarious.

extremely disappointing- especially considering this was the response to the crap served up last week.

Players (most of them) actually showed much more effort than last week.

We won all the key indicators.

Which sadly means our game plan is completely shithouse.

We get outworked at every contest.

Players are static in their ball movement- always handballing to flatfooted players/contests and generally backwards.

The few times we actually played on and used the ball with some dare we did well.

Jesse White should never have played today and should never play again.

Pendlebury is a liability- and he should not be playing- his softness and reluctance to go hard cost us a goal.

Cloke tries his arse off and realistically cannot do anything more-when the ball is coming in bombed to nowhere.

Moore was great and really tried to spark.

Howe? Why?

DeGoey needs a spell in the 2s- has been terrible this year.

Ditto Crisp- who is a shadow of his 2015 version.

Frustrating game.

I reckon we have given up a goal at the start of every quarter this year.

Give Bucks this year and next- and anything less than winning a final next year and goodbye.
