Greenwood had a good game too. Finished well in front of Rory Sloan I'd say, which is no mean feat. Tex kept very quiet too.

Doesn't get much ball out in the clear with time and space.
Stats like that rarely tell the full story.

I thought Grundy played another great game and Aish played his best for us so far, showing glimpses of the player he might become.

The Crows seemed to have bigger and stronger bodies and their contested marking was much better than ours. Once Moore adds a few kilos of muscle he'll start holding a few of those marks he dropped tonight. We badly missed a Fasolo or Elliott.

I'm not sure why Caff was even picked as he is clearly no longer up to AFL standard. I agree with others re Blair. We have too many dwarfs in our team and Blair is the one too many.

Forget about finals now, just use the remainder of this season to build for next year. I'd bring back Cox, Williams and give Wills a game.
Agree with all of this Rudeboy. We weren't blown away when we could've been and we weren't disgraced.
Was really surprised to see the good game from Aish. Hope they persist with him through to the end of the season.
Then he won't qualify for VFL finals ... needs 2 more VFL games.

Disagree - our forwards were beaten almost at every contest... Faz is probably our most valuable player... mids and backs were pretty good but we lacked composure up forward and we very rarely brought the ball to ground or won a contested ball :(
Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!!

Yeah but almost every single possession he gets he is surrounded by 8 players. Although only 11 of his touches were supposedly contested.... hmmmm.... much to ponder.
Jacobs had 3 times the AFL Player Ratings points as Grundy in that game.

The sole reason this game was so frustrating was our youth performed with the exception of Moore and JDG, but our seniors for the most part let us down.

For many midfielders. E.g. Swan goes at like 60%, however Pendles is a different kettle of fish. Half back is hopefully where your best DE boys are located.
Get back on top.

Darcy Donut hands Moore managed to not only drop the marks but ensure they went to Crows to whisk a3way except the one that lead to a goal. You can't blame players up field for missing targets when the target keeps dropping the pill.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

I agree with yin yang,i think the forward line cost us the game.None of the big forwards could hold their marks, and as usual there were no crumbing forwards at their feet to pick up the crumbs. This has been killing us for years, but strangely enough the Collingwood football department won't go out and recruit one of these players. If we had a decent crumbing forward with pace it would make a huge difference to this team.
