Not withstanding the Greenwood leap,Hawthorn got at least 3 gimmes and 1 from a 50mtr penalty. As good as Grundy was today he has to learn you can't keep kicking and hand balling blindly and continuously give the ball away .Sidebottom does a great job of that by himself. Proud of Collingwood and the coach today and we have a lot to look forward to. Just need Reid back and get a decent full back and the rest will be fine in 2017.
It would be nice if some supporters took a one way ticket to the
Richmond football club
Melbourne coached by Roos get thumped by 20 goals. So too does Hardwick's Tigers.
Collingwood, missing 11 of our best players, loses by a lousy point to the reigning triple Premiers. I am so proud of our young list and our great coach Nathan Buckley, who clearly has the players completely committed to his brand of football.
In the end, only dodgy umpiring cost us this game. I couldn't be prouder of our boys. Go Pies!

Don't be proud of that, I certainly hope the players are not......IDIOTIC mistakes cost them a football game.
Sure Brown was very good, shut his man almost completely out of the game.
It's definitely a game to be proud of. With 10+ of our best 22 missing we almost got the job done against Hawthorn in their most important game of the year.
Brown made a few mistakes that he probably shoudl have avoided as such an experienced player, but players will make mistakes if they are taking the game on. If we could cut out those three goals a game we give the opposition from defensive turnovers (Brown, Williams and Howe beeing the notable offenders), we'd be in the eight. And if we were in the eight, no team would relish playing us.
You never have your full side in, but add a few of Moore, Adams, Fasolo, Elliott and Reid to that side, and we'd win going away. 2017 cannot come quickly enough, for me.

Sure there is. We played well, but a loss in this game would have been a massive fail for Hawthorn rather than a nod to us. This game should never have been close, but the Hawks just aren't that good this year.
It's just another loss. We might pretend that it means something...hell, pushing the Hawks to 10 points last year was "supposed" to mean something too, but all we did was fall into a death spiral.
All we can take out of this game was that we lost again to this mob.

I am so very proud of that effort.
Okay, lost by a point, but we could've done a Richmond or a Melbourne. We didn't. We upheld the Magpie name and nothing else matters but that!!

Two questions.
1. How much is a one way ticket to Perth?
2. Does anyone have Marley Williams bank account details as I would like to EFT the funds?
But, upon consideration, that is a silly idea. He would miss the flight too.

With you all the way Rudeboy. Our boys showed themselves just what they are capable of and they'll remember that all through the gruelling pre-season.
I picked us to win this.
But we lacked polish and class with our disposal.
I reckon Hawks are finished.
It will take a miracle for them to win this year.
But they are the club that has been blessed with luck.
Hard to make out where we will be next year with a no. of
players leaving.
With no Cloke my thought turned to Jessie when he went down with a knee.
Very short of KPP next year.
Game summed up our year really ....miserable.
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.
