Yes, we were awful tonight. Seemed almost lethargic, except for short bursts. At least half the players just weren't switched on at all. Very strange actually - we usually just lack skills, but tonight we lacked our usual intensity. What'sinaname wrote:Embarrassing and, another loss to the Hawks
Bucks is now what 1 win 7,839,588 losses against Clarkson
We are awful and Buckley has to be sacked immediately.

I'd like to make two points - looks like from the worm that we were losing at the end of each quarter - Fitness/ focus?
Also hawks and pies were 12 and 13 on the ladder last year I think - hawks brought in established veterans where as we chopped up our structure to try something new. I don't think its surprising we didn't gel straight up.
I think we should take a breath and trust what was being seen at training before this game and as unpopular as it will be - stick to it on the whole.

We shall set our course by the stars and not ships that pass in the night
Look Bucks is not going to throw the baby out with the bath water.
However that baby is now in primary school. Give it a few more years and that baby will probably throw Bucks out with the bath water.

Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy.

I think you're being generous saying the Blues and Lions games are 50/50.We could easily lose all of those games.Raw Hammer wrote:Round 2 GWS | Loss

We could seriously be 1-7 or 0-8

Mason Cox 0 marks from about what 12 attempts.
Never seen the likes of it.
Treloar finds the ball but butchers it way to often for a player that costs us a bundle.
His DE was 40.6 and 19 of his 32 disposals were bloody handballs.
Unbelievable.
At the end of the day though the Hawks are just so well drilled under Clarkson and once again it seems like groundhog day out on the field for us.

Well next week we will see exactly what the club of 2018 is made of, and the next week, and the next week and God forbid ANZAC Day then the unwashed Punt Road End horde. Its only one game tonight, but its how similar that it looked to the past that has got everyone to light the torches and grab the pitchforks.
Get back on top.

Predictable and expected result. I had tipped the Pies all week and then decided to rejoin reality and changed it to the Hawks 10 minutes before the start. I just could not see how we were going to score 13+ goals and give ourselves a chance to win, as it turned out we didn't get close to that mark. They were just cleaner, more skillful and smarter with their ball use. Not to mention just played the game with a superior structure than us, they moved collectively and maintained their shape far better. We fall into a dis-organised outfit very quickly and nobody out there pulls us back together. We have NO leaders, NONE. Didn't help not having a forward line, but will we ever get everyone together up and going, I doubt it.
Just a very sad result and I can't say I cared too much about it. This rubbish continues to destroy my passion and I was actually glad to get my tip right and that disgusts me. This club needs to change properly, from the top down. Stop avoiding the tough decisions Ed, time to step down and allow a new board in that has the balls to sack a lame duck coach and right the ship. Bux is no Dimma and this story is now a nightmare with no fairytale ending.
Bloody long year coming up. Probably won't finish last but a top 4 draft pick is likely based on tonight's effort and intent.

As long as we dont finish last, thats my benchmark for the year now.
Is Cox' contract performance based ?...hope so.
Pendles is cooked, Treloar is not quite elite bc of his less than elite kicking.
As long as Smith, Crocker , Langdon, Cox, Phillips and even Thomas are in our best 22 together we are fooked. You could suffer one or two of them but not all...way too many unskilled workman like footy players there.
