and Hope that Continues with RoughtMagpietothemax wrote:I like the idea of getting Jordan Roughead very much. Gives us so much extra flexibility and depth with our talls, at almost no cost. We also have a wonderful recent record of recruiting experienced defenders from elsewhere (Dunn, Howe) and transforming them into players a class above their former selves. Think it's one of those low key, but highly strategic trade deals.

So he's signed? Or not so signed?
What bothers me is if he forces a delisting. There's very few guys who deserve that. We have some awfully good kids in the Magoos, we're using it as a breeding ground for future stars, rather then the scrap heap most clubs use it for. A pile of kids played BOG games in more than one run in the 2s, including Wills, Daics, Both Browns Madgen, Elliot, Josh Smith (esp in the latter half, he grew an extra leg about Rd 13, Crocker did the same later on). I really hope they're not in their usual rush to wield the axe, it already hurts to lose the Faz for pick 56, what a bloody insult!
If we're smart 2019 will be even more memorable than this year. We simply need to get closer to averaging 100 points. Do that & the silverware is in the front room China cabinet!

Wikipedia has him as a Collingwood player in their player statistics
Nov 3 in 1990 birth. Pick 38 in 2008 draft
Stands 200 cm and weight is 100 kg
Year 2012 was when the then coach Brenda McCarthy put in into defence where he stayed till mid 2015 at which time Bevo gave him ruck duties
Fair to say well experienced in defence

Because we would lose the Faz compo pick - as long as the trade is for something bigger than pick 57 we are infront trading, and I would imagine it would just be a very late pick to get it doneMr Miyagi wrote:He'll be in black & white by Wednesday. I have no idea why the club didn't get him for free on Friday, and are instead trading for him now. Maybe there's a Pies player who, instead of delisting him, they're helping him out with a trade to a club he's nominated? Dunno, it's a mystery.

I'm a big fan of Matty Boyd now, does he have any other friends at other clubs wanting to move?
