Someone's religion isn't their politics. He's part of the Centre faction of the Liberal party, what about that is so hard for you to understand? He's a Centrist, Turnbull and Pyne were "moderates" or the Liberal Left and Dutton and Abbott are Liberal Right.
Of course when you're sitting as far left as you are a Centrist looks a long way to the right.

Pretty much everyone agrees that China has massively over reacted, setting the tone that if you want to trade with them, practice your fellatio and arse kissing. In doing so they've done us and the rest of the world that trades with them a massive favour. We now know they're an unreliable trading partner who will turn on you in a second for any imagined slight so, as in the article, we're planning to not be reliant on them.watt price tully wrote:Nice link but does zero with respect to your term “bullshit”.stui magpie wrote:Utter bullshit.watt price tully wrote:
With respect to China, Morrison totally f*cked up by going so early on his own: that is beyond debate unless you’re only reading is the Murdoch press.

Morrison f*cked up with respect to China and how to go about bilateral trade. You miss the point. The point is not to be beholden to China, not to grovel but not to force them into a diplomatic corner either as he did when he first called for an international investigation into the CornaVirus.
What we got was a watered down investigation into nothing while losing trade.

Andrews calls in the Feds and hands over control of the state Labor party. Steve Bracks and Jenny Macklin to do the review

People just don't join political parties these days, particularly when they have to pay for the privilege and get jack in return. Labor reckons 1/4 of it's members in Vic might be bogus, I reckons they're lucky if 1/4 are real.
For the working persons party, born from the union movement, to wipe out the bullshit and give real people a genuine say may be just what the party needs. Or it could destroy it. Either way, worth the shot.

I'm gonna give him a tick for this, a big one, if it results in a genuine review and reform.Victorian Premier Dan Andrews has declared “no confidence” in the integrity of the ALP’s own membership roll in an extraordinary letter demanding a suspension of rank and file preselections until 2023.
In a dramatic bid to “clean house” after branch stacking allegations, the ALP national executive will now determine who is preselected as Labor candidates for the next federal election, while a full audit of every member is conducted.

I’ve been a member of the Wikileaks Party (RIP) and considered joining Reason, the Socialist Equality Party and the Greens at various times. Liberal and Labor Party members feel like aliens from another galaxy to me, but each to their own!

I've been asked to join the LNP before, but always rejected them.
I did consider joining the Australian Conservatives for a brief moment, but that ship has sailed with the party being dissolved last year.
